Went to camp for a bit of Bushcraft. Got the camp fire going and played with the puppy. Got some theory time in there too Josh Cook: This is a good video theory time I could really get trapped. I live in Michigan and also wonder about how I will survive when Yellowstone blows. Probably living underground is the only option. Producing energy will have to be done with fossil fuels such as natural gas along with geothermal to keep us comfortable. I've looked at it more in depth. I'm outside the initial fallout but it will reach me and as it darkens the sky my solar panels and all of the learning about solar power will be of no use. I have often questioned whether I still want to learn about solar in college. So I actually have been practicing Bushcraft tech and primitive technology. I have a group of friends, all of us with families. We have brainstorming talks about how we could survive. Co2 scrubbers led lights and probably making some sort of steam propelled energy production system. Even if we only use wood and charcoal to make the steam it would be possible. However factories will stop making things like batteries and vehicles. Chances are when that happens we will die trying to make our family survive. But as long as there is a way there is a hope. Supposedly it is going to cover the world in Ash and debris eventually. But I would really love to be on the other side of the planet when and if that happens. All in all I'm a prepper that has learned about circuitry, water wheels, magnets, coils, batteries, growing food, small scale farming, woodworking, Bushcraft survival. It's not about the gear it's about the knowledge and the want to live. Yellowstone scares the shit out of me because it's almost a no win scenario. Harvesting trees with a mask on is not my idea of a good and healthy life but if it has to be done I will try. It would be an ironic slap in the face to many bigoted Americans where the middle East is on the opposite side of the planet and the Muslims were the survivors. I have nothing against Muslims to me it's just another religion that seeks control over the masses. But that irony gives me even more anxiety because irony is the one of the best teachers to mankind. I'm not wealthy enough to build an underground bunker but if it blew I would head to my dad's get on his front loader tractor and start digging and I would still die digging a hole. There will be survivors and at the end that would be the only comfort with the pain of my family dying. I would not give up but something like that would be to daunting for many of us. Starvation the world over. The wealthy think that their money will get them out of it, they have built bunkers and such but the lack of knowledge in survival will kill them. Paying someone for your life is no life. They know business and finances but I bet there are only a few of the wealthy that could start a friction fire even though that won't be the key to survival. If the sun is gone for ten years we will eat earthworms and slugs. Let's hope I will have figured out a way to keep the freezer running without power from the grid or solar. Sorry I went on but theorizing about that situation plagues my mind. NASA is trying to figure out a way to relieve the pressure so it doesn't blow but mistakes and unseen instances that are not taken into consideration have caused many deaths worldwide. Maybe the Earth is reborn ten years after with less population and survivors will make sure we don't get overpopulated again. That could become the new religion, who knows. Thanks for the video.

To answer your lady's question, God will make it rain bring down the ash, the ass will grow bigger & better crops. We'll have one cold summer so stock up with rice pasta seeds, The big problem will be the chaos of no food in the stores, or low surply's It's all about food & water, having good soil to grow & the seeds to plant. America can feed to world, we truly have that much open land. Before i forget You must have Chaga growing in those woods too, i see White Birch but haven't notice any Yellow Birch, Chaga is something you should drink everyday It only grows on 3 trees in the world & you have 1 i can see Start a food stash if your worried, buy land with good soil, without food you can't work, & if people think you have food they will come & take it, during the chaos. Great dog, nice lady friend, live it the bush a year before you marry, see if the hard times makes you grow together, it's a long journey, one hearts loving the woods the other still a, not everyone stays married these days, it hurts & cost a ton Aloha Richard

She had an excellent question. and with only a couple of minutes to come up with one, she did a fantastic job I think my response would be a bit of technology wedded to Bushcraft. Make NOW, before you actually need it, an underground spot, large enough to live in, grow crops in, and store supplies in. You would mainly need something to keep the Sulfuric acid out, so while a plastic tarp style thing might work, you would have to be sure it would survive months and years of Sulfuric Acid. Using Underground Bushcraft items and on the technology side, battery / solar powered lights for plants and self, large stash of solar cells in case the acid does them in, and battery powered radio, possibly TV, etc. You would do well to also earn your Amateur Radio license and keep a simple radio station to keep in touch with other survivors as well. Thanks for continuing to do these series, for not only are they informative, interesting, entertaining, and fun, they are also very educational

Oh thanks for bringing Yellowstone. Technology can help by making green houses and using artificial lights to grow foods, wind turbines could aid in power production as Solar would be an issue. How ever, there could be breaks, in the clouds. Another change, the United States will be 4 States fewer. Now depending on what way the trade winds are heading on who will be effected first. if they are heading east, as the cloud travels, those in direct path will lose power, as ash shorts out the power lines and sub stations, as it continues East were looking at the stock market being no more so that is one piece of technology that would no longer be of use. Now, here is another issue. it's not so much the ash, but Sulpher emitted as well. which would act as a cooling agent to reduce sunlight. Technology's will change and those who can will adapt. Those who can not will die. It will be those with a combination of fitness and intellect that will aid in survival

Hi Mike, bit late to the comment on therory question. Get ready for Nibiru that will be the catalyst to yellowstone and many many sleeping volcanoes that are reawakening around the world. It's not if but when Nemesis's constellation passes around our Sun that interaction of all the planets that the planets poles shift, resulting in many many casualties to human population as we know it. Obviously this is my opinion gauged by what I have eluded from countless hours sifting thru YouTubes hype and disinformation by those that don't want us to know is out there. It will be that that ignites the tinder pot that is yellowstone and naples and others. Love your videos, I'm disabled veteran wannabe bushcrafter in central Scotland, with spinal issue so I have more challenges than most to test me. Keep up the great work you do and your dad too. Respect.

What can technology do if/when the Yellowstone super volcano erupts? Not a damn thing. It may take longer for people on the other side of the world to succumb, but all will eventually. We live probably 2, 000 miles from it here on the East Coast of the US, but in the next 3-4 years, we hope to buy some land in Colorado, which is only 1 state away When it blows, we will too, so why even worry about it? Just going to live free & love life till then. We are not the first advanced societies to exist, even though we think we are. There have been many major cataclysms that have 'reset the clock' on the world. Do a youtube/google search on Randall Carlson & the hugely catastrophic meteor(asteroid) strike of around 12, 000 years ago. It will blow your mind (no pun intended)

Old video now, but that was a good theory time. I believe there's actually three super volcanoes in the United States alone. You should know that they've been monitoring Yellowstone for thirty years and don't believe it will erupt within the next ten thousand years. However In this hypothetical situation where Yellowstone does erupt, we have the ability to grow plants indoors, we have invented a device that can cancel out seismic waves preventing earthquakes from happening known as a seismic cloak, and generally I think we could survive that. We don't have the space infrastructure to move to space yet though. That'll take a refilling station of some design and we need to mine neo's for resources to make the process cheaper. Lot to consider really.

Well when it goes off it's going to effect the whole world first off. Secondly America and Canada will feel affects lasting decades due to the volume of ash deposited over the great plains. There's going to be a world wide food shortage of epic proportions, billions will starve Hopefully other countries will come to the aid of America like the United States has done in the past for others. Luckily for me across the pond in the mid-west will be killed and won't have to suffer the aftermath. Maybe it's time for mother earth to cleanse herself of her parasites called the Human Race

Answering Ms TA's question; On the assumption that this is worse than my St. Helen's then after the initial food riots, rationing etc, and assuming we can still generate electricity, solar will be way down, then aquaponics will be the way forward. We may have trouble producing meat (it may become a luxury item, but vegetables and fish could step into the breach. All you need is power for the led grow lights and the water pumps (although there is ways around that for pumps you are stuck for the lights) so expect sheds to spring up everywhere.

Thank you to the TA Outdoors Trio for another fine production. and my Yellowstone solution or technology idea would be to have some water ready in space somehow to release and make rain which would bring down the ash from the atmosphere or maybe other material to catch the ash to lessen the ash time? Bit of a wild card but it just came into my head immediately. best wish to all your family. and thsnk you for all the entertainment. also greetings to fellowe watchers around the world. from Jerry in Dewsbury.
