Really nice to watch and learn from your experiences. For many years I have cooked all kinds of good food on my German built smoking pit and many times in the extremes of the Yorkshire winter. Using my hatchet to carve up the logs to the right shape and size and also to use with charcoal, I know how amazing it is to use a makeshift tarp to keep warm and the smells and patience involved all add to the satisfaction of the meal. Being in the hills 350m above sea level, it was rare to find a day/evening with no wind but I know the wind can be your worst enemy especially when filming a documentary. On my own land with home just a stroll away I never took your step in to the wilds so for me you are filling in many of the gaps. I'm so grateful for your work. I am glad you are enjoying your adventures they are the best thing on my tele.

Dude Food isn't a problem for you. I've seen your fishing videos. You could be out there until spring. I bet you could get a bow and Robin Hood it ( Do only Americans use Robin Hoods a verb. It's a nicest up. I really like your stove. The two poncho tent is brilliant. My poncho is a rectangle and I use it like a tarp. In the rain, I can run a ridge line through the sleeves and stake down the ends to make an A shape. Tie a knot in the hood and push it to the out side so it doesn't drip on the inside. I can set it up while I wear it so I don't get very wet. It's a cool trick to set up shelter for two.

It amazes me that there are people out there who this video. A lot of effort has gone into creating these & theyre VERY EDUCATIONAL Some terrific tips & tricks to help the viewer have a better camping experience if or when they decide to go. If I dont like a video for whatever reason, I stop watching. Why bother to the video? In my opinion, showing public dislike for these educational videos is a reflection of the person making the statement. Thankfully, there only appears to be a small percentage of these watching. This is terrific content, well filmed & edited. I give it

Hey Mike. I was wondering how you made or where you bought your tent. I really enjoy the look and the amount of room you get for the size. Plus the cleaver use of the sleeve for the piping to go through. Also in the last episode you the message regarding the technology was very inspiring hence why I'm wondering about the tent. Thanks for the great videos mate

Very enjoyable video, Mike. Thanks for the review on your load out, especially your axe. I thought it was a Gransfor Bruks. For an inexpensive tool it is highly efficient but of course it takes skill to wield an axe properly. Congratulations on your success as a youtuber. well deserved. Sincerely wish you continuing success.

Regarding your plans to build stove. Look up ammo box stoves. Small, light and flue pipe can be made using easily available 2 interconnecting car exhaust sections. Weld the larger swaged end to the stove and simple insert each section into the next, inner section on the upper side to prevent any tar running into the tent area

I know I said this int he last video, but I really appreciate the tv level quality of your videos, I mean I love the outdoorsy stuff too, but in all honesty its the editing and whatnot that makes this feel at least in part like a professional production rather than a dude/dudett in the woods with a go pro and a laptop.

Hello, MikeI am living in south Korea. And I enjoy your video very much. I do also going mountain twice every month. Recently I could buy G-stove from Norway. However I can not find mini canvas tent like you are using. If you let me know where can I buy it or URL, It would be great. Thanks

As children we got to use the axe, Why, that, s all they had so we used it and never had an accident but loved the results. Now we just push a button and have heat but if I had a choice the good old wooden in the kitchen. Continued success. P s. loved the UK when I visited (twice.
