One way to help the bag to find its shape. Damp the leather with water first, then load it full with something soft (pieces of cloth, towel etc) to the maximum load. Close the pouch, make sure that all the folds in the leather are folded the way you want, and the just let it dry. Once wet and then dried leather will keep the shape it dried into quite well.

When you'd drawn the circle (Or even before that) why didn't you change the size, could have easily got another inch or two all the way around on that bit of leather. Unfortunately I got a load of leather sheets offcuts a while ago with this in mind but I mistook inches for cm. Ended up with a whole stack of leather 15x15 cm lol

Really great video Mike. I was just watching some of your older videos and it nice to see how much your production values have improved over time. Youve also inspired me to get out there in the woods and have some fun with bushcraft. Keep it up

Thanks for another great video. Talking of tinder, I went for a day hike today and used birch bark as tinder to make a fire (for a cup of coffee) for the first time. Looking to go on my first wild camp next year. Thanks for the ideas and inspiration

A great return to SHED SUNDAY The tinder pouch appears to be the ideal starter project for working in leather. As you point out, the inside of your shed is jam-packed but neat; not cluttered. The lighting is good for the video.

I'd like to know in which part of the UK you're building your bushcraft camp, because that forest seems to be very flat and all the trees are very straight. (I'm sorry for my very bad english but I love bushcraft and I am 14)

Great video Love hand-crafted items. Reminds me: Did you ever make a video using the hand-crafted hobo hand line you got as a gift? I saw you discuss it in an old video but haven't seen a video of it in use.
