Saving Our Off Grid Cabin in the Woods (TOTAL RE-BUILD)

We had to save our off grid cabin in the woods. Watch us relocate and build the pallet wood tiny home in the same forest as the bushcraft camp. When we built the foundation in the first episode of the off grid pallet wood cabin build, we were not aware of the lay of the land of the site itself. Over time, and after much rainfall, it appeared that we had built the cabin in a small hollow which flooded the area around the cabin and could potentially cause it to rot. So we decided to dismantle the pallet wood log cabin and take it to a new site in a pine forest where the ground is much dryer throughout the year. Although this wilderness project was more about a father spending time with his son, we felt a strong connection with our subscribers throughout the series. It seemed a shame to let it all go to waste. So we re-built the cabin foundations on some engineering blocks to keep it raised off the ground and prevent damp entering it. We then built the walls of the cabin and proceeded to build the roof. Having listened to some subscriber comments and feedback we felt it would be a good idea to stain the cabin to give it slightly more protection against the elements and to make it blend in more with the surroundings. Making it more of a one-man bug out cabin or trapper cabin. Now we can continue to improve our off grid living and survival skills, cast iron cooking on the woodstove, overnight camping, and do more theory time chat with you guys. Stay tuned for more pallet wood projects. Thank you for watching and joining us on the adventure

I think your problem with your nuts that did not mean the way it sounded but I think the problem with the trees are maybe it's a self-defense mechanism that's just automatically built in 3 years ago we had son our problem around here with our Chestnut and acorns and stuff like that I personally think it's just a self defense mechanism that mother nature built into the program for that tree you know to make sure they survive I mean Mary you stop and think about it the how does an egg get fertilized you know will keep them warm all winter is so snow the leaves then the snow and then the warmth of the cold air if you can understand that everything has friction and including air everything has friction to make heat like my room if you take a fan which I have I have a pointed in One Direction and I have another fan pointing in the same direction at a different angle bikers up a chasing itself in a circle it's warmer in that Circle that it is on the outer side I don't blame you if you don't believe me but it's the truth it's just enough friction do keeping an even temperature in my room at all year round even when it's freezing up here try it out sometime well this is the watch I hope I've helped out a little bit with your information problems I probably didn't but I hope I did God bless shine on man may God find you healthy and happy God bless this is the white tree peace out

hey how you doing guys is Darian from Miami Florida something weird is going on to here in the United States here in Florida a lot of trees are dying in a lot of acorn are falling on the wrong time especially the guy lives off grid up north he has a YouTube video he reported that is been raining over there and when it rains the trees they get foam and the leaves are falling down plus the acorn we don't know what's going on either we don't like to point the finger but over here Miami Florida they've been putting chemicals on the water I would like not to think of that because if it's true it would be really bad for everyone

Hello this is the Watcher I've enjoyed your cabin videos I have two questions not that it matters but those land that you brought the cabins on is that your land or is it the states land or do they even have such a piece of land called that where you are from and the second question is do you talk about flat fish are you talking about One Eyed Jacks we call him some fish are wanted some fish they got a big blue dot on the side of them they taste pretty good too and they're kind of buttery but you definitely need salt and pepper with them at least I do anyway and some kind of lubricant to cook it in

You all have done such a great job I am very interested to see how it ends and looking forward to watching more off grid videos of you're building and survival skills, loving your videos, and happy that it's a family thing, it's very comforting to know there are families left to have such a great connection and excellent skills in working together through love and hard work that pays off in the end, makes you closer and more willing to do other things together as a family should. Thanks again for allowing us to watch and see what's happening next. God bless you all.

O have onlyu just watched the video of you guys building the cabin. Now I am watching you dismantle it to move it to another location. I didnt mind watching you two make other things, gives me a nd other people ideas to what to make with pallet wood. I dont think you went too far in making things. When you started to make something, it was interesting as there was no hint of what it was going to be. Now I will carry on watching this video. :. Well done guys.

Save the cabin it's very special for you and your father to spend good times with each other. That's very smart to stain the cabinIf it's possible to put the cabin on logs off the ground so that the water won't soak the bottom it will help save your cabin. Even putting the cabin on some cinder blocks off the ground will help save the cabin. These are some of positive ideas that have helped others save there cabin's.

My dad helps me renovate my house and build all sorts of stuff and it's so much fun (tiring af because the man never stops, but still fun) We just finished a greenhouse made from the old windows from my house and a shed is next I think. You learn so much building with your dad, not just about the carpentry but also about each other, it's awesome And you two are an absolute joy to watch

Hey guys; there are always critics. Most of them have nothing better to do. You said it was an experiment, not anything else. I would do it a little different, so what, everyone does it different. Your experiment has encouraged me and lots of other folks to give-er-a-go, thanks. Don't ever let nay sayers discourage you in what you are doing, HAVING A GOOD TIME. ;-)

Wonderful videos So heartwarming to see. I miss my dad every day and wish we could've had the chance to build a cabin together. We did lots of other great things though and I'm very thankful for everything. Thank you for sharing these videos with the world. I smile the whole time watching them By the way, who the hell is thumbsdowning this? You suck.
