We just spent the last weekend in Valais, way up in 2'600 metres. Went up by cable car. It's truly beautiful. But don't get caught too much. The living costs are astronomic. A lot of people struggle to make a living. The majority of the population earns just as much to pull through. Wht makes it so good is their political system. The people have the say, they vote on everything. They are reasonable, well educated people, it's the Swiss philosophy, their very being, that makes it work. The real Swiss people are caring and tidy, and their political system has the rich ones contributing considerably to the living of the poor ones. But it only works if everybody gives their best. Sadly, in recent years, a lot of scoungers came and it becomes less and less attractive to live here. The population is around 9 mio of which only around 6 mio are Swiss. Now do the maths. This won't work for much longer.

If Glaciers, and uber tall mountains, float-your-boat please get thee to Switzerlands Valais region. The Valais' Zermatt and Jungfrau are home to the tallest and most vast glacial regions in Switzerland. On a more serious note these glaciers are retreating with global warming. Sadly some of the lower glaciers are said to disappear within the next 20 years and the flow-on affect to local climate is impacting now. So please don't delay. Happy & safe travels Ciao

Apart from the fact that many of the towns and regions are mispronounced due to an American accent this is a very good video on sites to visit in Switzerland. My mother was Swiss and I hold dual citizenship with the country and the USA so Ive had a unique experience living there with my Swiss family ever since I was a child. Not mentioned was the Gruyere section in the French part of the country which perhaps has the best preserved castle in all of Switzerland.

I live in Lausanne Switzerland, in this video you said Lake Geneve and than you put some Lausanne parts which is wrong the name is Lake Leman and this lake touch a lot of city starteyfrom Martigny, Montreux, Vevey, Lausanne, Morge, etc the Geneva is in the end and they touch the smallest part of the lake, in the other side of the lake is the France. Beautiful video but some mistakes.

In my opinion the best place in Switzerland is the jungfrau region because-Lauterbrunnen is a valley which has 72 waterfalls And most people come to Switzerland for the Alps and the jungfrau region has the best Alps in my opinion. Also the jungfrau region had some of the best mountains-Eiger Month Jungfraujoch Schilthorn etc

Such a pity you forgot Basel It's a beautiful and interessant town and has worldfamous museums like theBeyeler Stiftung and the Museum of Arts. Besides you can visit France (Elsass) and the black forest in one day, from Basel you can travel in 20 minutes to both countrys.

Geneva, ha ha. What a joke Ugly, boring and pretentious city. And worst of all. the food Tourist trap. All the good bars are long gone. Go to Lausanne, youll have a much better time
