Visited Rome a couple of weeks ago. We couldnt believe how filthy the city is with rubbish littered everywhere, bags of garbage in the streets and weeds growing everywhere. Also lots and lots of graffiti over beautiful old buildings and structures. I typed in filthy Rome in google when we got home and found a lot of info about it. Really looked forward to seeing Rome but really disappointed. We will unfortunately never return to Rome. Other places in Italy were fabulous but not Rome. Real shame.

I always suggest to explore cities like Perugia, Orvieto, Assisi, Gubbio (UMBRIA region)/ Verona, Ferrara, Padova, Treviso, Vicenza e Bassano del Grappa (VENETO)/ Pavia, Mantova, Bergamo(LOMBARDIA. Lecce, Alberobello (PUGLIA, Siena & Firenze (Toscana. If you are planning to visit the 5 TERRE (LIGURIA region) you really shouldnt miss: Portovenere, Portofino, Camogli, Sestri Levante, VERY ROMANTICIf you prefer the montains: TRENTINO- ALTO ADIGE is a must Enjoy Italy Everybody is welcome

When you showed Tuscany, it was nice of you to mention Pisa (and I would also recommend the small walled city of Luca, but I found it strange that Firenze (Florence with Michelangelo's David, Brunelleschi's Dome on the cathedral, The Uffizi Gallery, and so much more) was not mentioned by name at all. Ok, yes, there were a few photos of that great city that so highly represents the Renaissance.

im from south america colombia to be exact and because of my job i travelled in the last 20 years through out the world and seen it all. my favourite countries in the world are italy and japan and south korea in that order and been to italy at least 7 times. been to the italian alps many times and nothing on earth comes close to its beauty.

Nice but not thrilling. First it would be great to pronounce the names in Italian origin rather than American English. It is Roma, Milano, Firenze, Venezia, Costa Amalfi, etc. Secondly the most beautiful part of Italia is Costa Smeralda in Sardinia particularly Porto Cervo, Caladivolpe, & Porto Rotondo.
