I have stayed here at Amankila twice and love it. I stayed in an Ocean View villa both times. With such a spectacular main pool, wonderful beach club pool, plus a great private beach, it would be crazy for anyone to stay at a pool suite. Our routine was: a few hours in a secluded bale on the beach, then lunch and lounging at the beach club, then swimming and hanging out at the main pool area and enjoying tea time. I just came back from Amanjiwo and while I liked their villas better than the Amankila villas, I think the overall setting is nicer at Amankila. I love how quiet Amankila is compared to Amanjiwo (was very surprised at how noisy it was at Amanjiwo compared to other Amans I stayed at.

As much as I enjoyed visiting the rain forests of Bali with you, I have to say it's good to see the ocean again Those waves reminded me of my beloved California coastline. I would love to stay at Amanjiwo and then Amankila for a complete Balinese experience. OMG, Dr. LTE, new suitcase, new beach attire and no eggs bennie for breakfast? I cannot deal with so much change; -) Oh, and my pet peeve is comments about no tv? and video is too long. You can change your suitcase, you can change your beach attire, and even your breakfast, but don't change a thing about your videos You're the best travel expert on youtube--that resort does have wifi so I can watch you on my laptop, right? LOL.

Your cinematography is excellent and the locations are beautiful but I suspect there is quiet vetting of guest and an unseen but very competent security department. I am sure the majority of guest are rich and/or famous people or families. They are somewhat prisoners of their own fame and this lets them enjoy a serene location without being approached for whatever reason. Not a bad concept, wish I had thought of it. :)

Another masterpiece from Aman resorts. Every time you feature Aman resort the more I develop interest in being a Amanjunkie. Let me say that I have noticed the word narrative has improved allowing more time to read and relate more to what is being featured. There was more time on black suitcase and looks full for a long stay at Amankila. Thank you for all these phenomenal places you keep on making and sharing with us.

What a beautiful and timeless architecture masterpiece elegant and simplicity at its finest. Actually you don't need to stay there if you'd like to enjoy Aman. Just go there for lunch or coffee but outside guests are strictly restricted only in public area for privacy sake. This is what I did when I visited Amanjiwo couple years back. The most expensive lunch of my life tough: )

When you stay in one of these luxurious resorts, you are not really traveling to another country because the resort does not resemble any typical places in that country. Just imagine how puzzled someone might look when they ask you to describe Indonesia that you just traveled to and you praise how luxurious the country was.
