Emirates Boeing 777 new Business Class Brussels to Dubai Mercedes Conway: We have just returned from a trip Sydney to Dubai on to Male and back. We had booked on A380 businesses class and were quite looking forward to the experience, not having flown on that aircraft before. It was terribly disappointing to find out it had been changed to a B777-300ER, our 777 didn't have leather seats, little side bar and the seats didn't fully recline to a flatbed not very comfortable, the roar of the engines was deafening even with ear plugs, the seat configuration is horrid not what you expect in business class. We will not be flying B777-300ER again. The only saving grace on our flights were the cabin crews they went out of their way to make us confortable and mark our special occasion. A very special thank you to Et and Eleni.

Raise your hand if you want Dr. LTE to go back to Soneva Jani? This is an awesome product for a group or family, however, they will have middle seat issues with a full load. Anyone else notice two things: 1. Pepsi product in the mini bar set-up and Coca Cola product on the menu. Either very clever to cater to your brand preference or an error by purchasing, and; 2. 1405 - 1408 the other plane duck beneath

I was so disappointed when they changed from A380 to 777-300er business class last minute. Travelling on business on my own I prefer the 1-2-1 configuration. The person sitting next to me stumbled over me several times during the night and woke me up. It was a bit like in economy class. What a shame. I also missed the A380 Onboard-Lounge. It's always great talking to other business travellers.

Did anyone see another aircraft fly below this one at 14: 05? 2-3-2 seating arrangement in business class? Better to fly premium economy in Singapore airlines on A350 then, atleast you save significant amount of money & get almost same space. Seems for EK, premium economy is their new business. Didn't expect this from EK, especially after seeing their business class on A380.

Imagine if the two guys sitting in the seats in the middle that have direct aisle access are sleeping and that you are the one that is sitting between them and you need to go to the toilet. You will have to wake them up so they can reset their seat on the normal mode and everybody would be so bothered. 2-3-2? such a shame Emirates. Fly Qatar airways Its so much better
reply

Not sure if someone at EK ever reads the constructive criticism from it's F and J class passengers or not. Or if they sit back and think, Hey, it's my plane, so it's our way or the highway. Pick your poison. But I can say for me as a J class flyer the 2x2x2 is old school. And going back in time is really not for me. So I will do it my way, and not book that ride.

What emirates dont tell you is that even if you book business class on the a380, they can change the aircraft to the 777 with no warning, and then charge you if you want to change your flight to one that might be an a380, unless they change that one too. 2-3-2, and all you can see is your neighbours tv screen. Im going with Qatar or Singapore from now on.

Still 2-3-2 arrangement? Not good. Pointless mini bar when the drinks are not cool Seem to have little storage space too Unlimited WiFi is nice They didn't have that when I last fly Business Class with them. Emirates only attraction for me is their attractive pricing They certainly a lot cheaper as compare to SIA I know, you got what you pay for

My recent 777 business class experience has been on American, Cathay Pacific and Qatar. The first two have 1-2-1 seating while Qatar has 2-2-2, which was OK as I was traveling with my wife. Emirates looks pretty good, but not better than Qatar. I'd take AA's mediocre catering and service over Emirates just because of the much better seats.

Thanks for showing the full takeoff roll. Always like to time how long different aircraft take to get airborne. Looking forward to your 777 first class report next month. Given all the jets Emirates has on order, hope they have inexpensive rights to terminate contracts; seems that it has an unreasonable number of planes on order.
