British Airways B787-8 Dreamliner business class Calgary to London (SPECTACULAR London views) PortlandWhiteDoveRelease: On Jan 3rd 2018 from BA flight 269 London > Los Angeles Business Class The flight was late 30 mins. plus when we were seated. A man a woman & child sat in front of the odd seating system. Soon as the flight started the child started screaming & crying the parents did nothing. The man kept going to the upper storage compartment blocking drink, food & other services to myself. Our seats were kicked & they kept hitting my legs & feet as they took over control of this flight making My Wife & I's flight a real nightmare this situation that is very very difficult to deal with. I asked the BA crew various times to have this negative & dangerous behavior to stop. BA staff stated put on these large old style sound head gear on & deal with it. I already had ear plugs in my ears. I asked if we could be moved to any other seats in the plane the BA crew refused to let me change seats even to coach seats. I asked for a refund & to let me off this dangerous flight so I could book a new flight with another airline but the BA staff on flight refused my request. BA employs on this flight would not move the family causing all these damages to coach or other parts of the plane The behavior was very negative & dangerous to all on this flight. This was a 11 hour flight this child was crying & screaming at least 10 hours of this flight. Damages caused by British Airways on this flight from failed to protect my wife & I from these very bad passengers who were seated in front of us. Even after requesting help various times on this flight. I have bruising from the headphones from lying down trying to block the screaming & crying & bruising on lower legs & pain from the passengers kicking and hitting me the whole flight as they missed jumping over the seats & hit my legs & ankles, plus pain up my sides & back. British Airways was not finished harming My Wife & I. British Airways lost all our luggage with thousands of dollars materials we travel with in are luggage. My luggage shows up two days later at my door by some guy in a pick up truck with broke & destroyed pieces of art I bought in Dubai, India, Oman, I can't believe this airline & what has done to my wife & I: I've filed a complaint

I am sorry I don't want to be unkind to parents and some children on aircraft are angels but the bottom line is you pay to fly in business or first so you can get some rest which is impossible with screaming children especial when you have parents that's don't give a toss. On a recent business trip to the US on Virgin my best friend asked to be downgraded because there was a family of 4 in business class who were a nightmare and he had an important presentation to give as soon as he arrived. Then there was the flight I was on with a well known celebrity with us in first class whose baby screamed the whole way from London to Bangkok, I can tell you there were some very angry passengers in that cabin. So leave the kids at home, book them in economy with the nanny or wait until they are older. I should add that when I am in a cabin with children who are a delight I always thank the parents and tell them what a good job they have done because I do know its not easy travelling with children

They either forgot, or the was no need to turn on the landing (takeoff) lights. I don't know this airport very well (I'm based on the Gold Coast QLD Aus, but I do know that pilots find interior/exterior lighting distracting during takeoff, especially inside the cabin. The runway was probably well lit, and the pilot found no need to turn on the exterior lighting. Whilst saying this, turning on/off lighting is included in the final departure checklist, so forgetting this may have been the reason. Other than that, I don't know. I have seen some mistakes on the pilot's behalf before, whether it's forgetting to turn on logo lights or forgetting to retract the gear. I hope this helped.

Video of business class flight and comment section filled with people complaint about fly with families. simply disgusting. you dont have friends and family with kids? What would you suggest they do if they have to travel with babies/kids on an airplane? do you think parents enjoy take kids with them on a 14hour flight? Come back here again in a few years when you actually have to fly with your own babies and see how disgusting of a person you were. Yes kids and babies sure annoying, but everyone was babies and kids, and everyone will be parent at some point of their life. you dont have to like it, but special flight for families? Sure we should have special flight for assholes as well.

Ugh, just awful. I hold very firmly to my campaign to not allow children in Business Class surely it's for people who want quiet so they can work if they wish But then again, I'd be mightily pissed off if I paid thousands for first class only to have noisy children in it I think there should be seperate flights for families (I didn't see any kids in your section though - lucky. The lounge was very lacking also. And I don't want to fly backwards either. My first ever business class flight was from London to Bangkok on Qatar Airways. I guess I've been spoiled as nothing seems to live up to their standards. Thanks for the video. Very informative xx

I'm sorry that you can't sleep during flights. Perhaps if you had a drink that might relax you a little. ? You can avoid the headaches by drinking lots of water as well as some alcohol. When I flew BA Club World from HK I slept like a baby despite a very heavy turbulence (as I was later told by my travel companions. I woke up just in time for breakfast. I guess if you dim the lights, shut (dim) the Windows you might be able to relax a little a slowly drift into a nice nap. You might want to try some meditation too. As you seem to travel in business class quite a lot you should make the most of those flat bedsAll the best; )

To be honest I find the travel a huge hindrance on a vacation, to the extent where I'd say I would choose not to go on vacation because of the flights. I rarely fly anything but economy, even on my long haul visits as I don't frequently fly with any airline and I don't have the money. I also thing segregation between the classes is a little too harsh on planes and perhaps some should follow what Thompson has done with their dream liners to provide a similar experience for most passengers, simply because I believe first class gives excuses for the company to downgrade economy as an incentive to fly business or first

I usually travel alone so I really dislike sitting next to families. It must show on my face. Occasionally an air hostess has been kind enough to move me forward if I'm sat next to a ill behaved child. I really like flying BA business when I can. I do think you are really missing out by not drinking alcohol though. The BA wine cellar is pretty good. They always have great champagne. .. I had the Castelnau flying to Miami. and they are very generous with it. I also like the seat configuration. It gives more of a feeling of privacy than some other carriers, especially by the window. Great vid. Thanks.

Landing lights on is a standard checklist item, even during the day. They missed it, bit of a worry, what else did they miss? ETOPS is 180 minutes. Yeah other people have mentioned this here and before BA food has got to be nearly the worst across the major airlines, and last when I flew with them I got the impression that the FAs kind of just leave you to your own devices in between the standard meal times. Like they don't ask you every now and again do you want anything ect. they just kind of disappear. Could be just my imagination, what was your impression?

I am looking to fly to Calgary next year for the Stampede and visiting friends. Here is the thing with BA Business Class that I really do not like. But you may correct me on this. Is BA Business Class on the 787 like all their other Business Class as in 2+2+2, or have they finally gone for 1+2+1 set up like Air Canada's Business Class. Cheers. At the moment Air Canada looks the better quality Business Class, also fly's out of Terminal II which is the best Terminal at Heathrow.
