I am a proud Aussie born and bred. but i can't help but compare our national carriers' first and business class to that of emirates airlines. I do like the look and size of the seat in first class its large and looks comfortable. But emirates seem to have more style and pizazz. In my opinion Qantas needs to pick up its game and redesign its premium class so it looks less like an office cubicle and more like a guilty pleasure that a traveller can treat themselves to, rather than fly in the back with the peasants.

I've flown on the Qantas A380 First Class twice and found it to be a very good experience. There are always going to be better examples from time to time and Qantas will probably upgrade at some point and turn the tide. This happens in the airline industry all the time. Apart from a few cosmetic differences the overall experience between Qantas and Emirates was much the same; both very good. I wouldn't 'avoid Qantas like the plague'. It has been in the top ten in the ratings for many years for good reason.

One of the better reviews. With this I mean the maker of this video, not specially Qantas. Indeed statistically one of the safest airlines with hardly major accidents and incidents. Statistically safe however can, statistically too, mean that the chance of such an event is greater, so it is not safer to fly with them than with any other safe airlineConcerning premium products (first & business class) Qantas in my personal preference is not more than a grey mouse.

I am such a nervous flyer. My first 3 flights all had frightening occurrences which set me up for fear of future flights. The first was the plane caught fire. Big fire. Luckily we had not taken off yet. The second was a horrific landing which caused the plane to nearly crash. The third was turbulence so strong things were flying around. But I continue to fly. I really like these videos. Thank you

Nervous? A Qantas A380 blew an engine moments after takeoff from Singapore it blew a man sized hole through the port wing. An event like hat could easily have brought the plane down it's a miracle they survived bigger the plane means more deaths if the hydraulics or the leading edge of the any had been destroyed it would have resulted in certain death

Ahh I do the same, walk about the plane, I get to know the crew and I aslo get to stretch my feet. I used to like BA but that changed when Qantas started taking over. Better leg room. Also how do you get a business class seat if you don't have flyer miles? Is it better to book in advance? Also love the music you have with the video. :)

I never thought the a380 was this luxurious I notice Qantas but never thought about their service being this professional and sophisticated. The lounge was very nice the look of a restaurant makes it even more seductive, I never been to australia but hope to visit someday. Get back to your seat thanks for the tour.

This is a great way to waste twenty or thirty thousand dollars and enjoy a shoe leather sandwich too It's really hard to understand why sitting in a plastic chair for ten hours should cost so much money until you study the skulls of the morons who pay it. Then it becomes clear: they are mentally retarded.

Qantas First is a top notch flying experience, flying Concorde thirty years ago this year from London to New York was a experience like no other. I feel fortunate to have have flown this iconic aeroplane and experienced a take off speed and inclination more akin to a rocket lifting off, truly memorable.
