This is day 1 of my southwest road trip: Las Vegas to Fresno, done on October 2, 2019. The weather was beautiful the entire day, but surprisingly chilly for early October. It was 48F (9C) in Las Vegas that morning, and the highest temperature of this day was 80F (26C) in Death Valley (at about 34: 00, which is also mild for that area for early October. This starts out in western Las Vegas, then through Valley N. P, Bakersfield, and Sequoia N. P. before ending in Fresno for the day. The GPS information is missing after visiting the General Sherman Tree, the last 30 minutes of this video. On the right turn of 25: 10 is a ghost town called rhyolite. I went to visit there from Vegas then took the same path you did down to Death Valley. The whole trip from that starting point to 29: 29 was the coolest entrance to a national park I'd ever seen. Sure I've only been to 4 so far (not including indiana dunes, the saddest nat park there ever was, but this one stood out and is currently my fav. Thanks for posting these vids! AND YOU HIT THE MESQUITE DUNES! That place was so much fun!

Back in June of 2018, I went on a guided tour that started from Vegas, passed through Death Valley, over Tioga Pass, than on to Yosemite and Sequoia before finishing in San Francisco; it was one of the most amazing experiences of my life, and the beauty was overwhelming. Thank you for this video, since it lets me relive some of that entire journey in ways just photos cannot. Safe travels!

1: 58: 04. that parking space on the left is where you park to go cliff jumping. Best swimming hole in the entire Sierra Nevada range. 150 yards long. Solid granite cliffs on each side with legit 30 different spots to jump into water from 12 to 50 feet deep. Crystal clear green water with jumps from 8 to 70 feet. I stop at 40 ft. Lol that's high enough for me.

Just from playing the video through, I totally did not get the part where you were supposed to pay a fee at Death Valley National Park, might have to review that section to understand all the signage on the road.
Was it there at what seemed to be small highway restrooms by the side of the road But you didn't even stop! So I completely lost it.

I have done a Fresno freeway tour. Basically what I'm saying is I have taken all of CA-41 (only the freeway segment, CA-99, CA-168 (only the freeway segment, and CA-180 (only the freeway segment) through the city and Clovis. It was in July 2019, all on the same day. Greetings from Sacramento.

Honestly, I'd love to do trips like these. I'd love to go to many places you have a chance to drive to. My father's been to 47 states, only 14 for me. I just want to get to see the stars in Maine, the lakes of Minnesota, the mountains of Colorado, or the forests of Washington. Great Video!

1: 36 the distance between the dots in the road and the speed of the car matches the framerate of the video in a satisfying way.
Gotta play the whole thing later, I like to put your videos up on my tv to view in the background while I'm doing chores etc.

Great video! Also, great to see you back! I like the new style of video your doing. You stop and explore the place. Do more of these please! Although you should have spent more time in the Sequoia National Park. There were alot of thing to see there.

This route is packed with stunning scenery! Crazy that the contrast between Death Valley and Sequoia NP is so extreme even though they are relatively close together. Looking forward to Day 2!

I’m sure this has already been asked and answered but what camera are you using that films in 4K with the heads up display showing the date, time, elevation, speed, and location

Great video. Bit disconcerting seeing the elevation reach zero and keep dropping. Nowhere in Australia you can do that on a road. Good to see some roads that are not freeways.

From what I've seen from the video so far, I really liked the landscapes of the Death Valley National Park. I send greetings from Chile, the longest and narrowest country

Citizens and Governments of USA have worked very hard to build such a massive and world class infrastructure. USA is powerful and beautiful country

My friend used to live in Fresno, then he moved to Arizona where I live! I never heard of Fresno until I heard him talk about it!

Hi A question about Time Lapse. Did you add Time lapse before you work on video editor like words and picture.

Hi Uncle, what do you do for a living that allows so much time for these trips (If you don't mind me asking)
