PS: you should have made a left at that first light in Lambertville and headed northward, that street has some gorgeous victorian homes (and older) on it. Gotta see it during Halloween.
Oh and yeah the canal has bass, sunfish, catfish, perch, and pickerel PLUS some pretty big snapping turtles that i’ve always feared losing digits to as well as some temperamental swans in a few spots.

Also note that you passed some outstanding restaurants - one famous because: there's a small hotel with a wishing well still there - love it and their champagne breakfast! In Frenchtown the best antique shops - one known for it's collection of hand carved bird decoys by VERY well known artists. Sorry you didn't stop at some of the eateries (Didn't you see the parked black convertible Bently) And the cemeteries are the last resting place for some famous military. Broadway types in town, too. B&Bs are prime choice honeymoon spots. If you cross the Delaware - there you'll see some fabulous estates.

New Jersey. Two words that when combined trigger a overwhelming desire to flee. Without a doubt, one of the most corrupt state governments in the entire country. Yes, it has some genuinely pretty towns. But, the cost of living and the taxes and fees will probably extract the joy of being a resident out of most people. I can honestly say that I have never visited any other state that generates less desire to return to than NJ. And yes, I've been to Mississippi.

Ya should a' made a left as soon as you came off that narrow bridge crossing over from Washington's Crossing Park in Pennsyltucky and visited Titusville, New Jersey which is next to the Delaware River instead of heading North on Route 29. Titusville is named for the family of settler Joseph Titus, who established two sawmills and a fishery here in the 1700's. Just in case ya are interested it's really a nice little quiet community.

Live the segment in New Jersey. I am originally from Pennsylvania but I did live in Stockton, NJ. The large building in Stockton was the Stocking Inn. It was the place where the musical South Pacific was written. There is very beautiful towns and villages all through New Jersey. More than I expected as a Pennsylvanian. Thank you for all the roads trips. Enjoy all of it.

Most people in NJ love full service gas stations. Occasionally it will come up to allow the option for self service and people go nuts and it’s shot down. I knew people who didn’t even know how to pump their own gas.
Personally l hate having to wait on someone else to pump my own gas and am glad to be able to do it myself. I also like self checkout in stores.

Those Delaware River bridges that are old, rusty and being torn down everywhere else around the country are kept up beautifully there! The Washington's Crossing and Lambertville bridges are about 120 years old, sitting on much older piers from previous, covered bridges. I love that the Washington's Crossing bridge was kept - its crazy narrow!

I drove over that same bridge many times on my way to New Hope, PA and Lambertville, NJ. This is one of the nicest areas of both states!
It gets even better as you go further north on the river and ends where New Jersey, New York and Pennsylvania meet at Port Jervis. I often went tubing and kayaking on the river as well. Glad you enjoyed it!

Could things about the Delaware River and gas compared to PA. The river is massive as you go south near and in Philadelphia. Gas in PA is normally about 25 cents more expensive than NJ (who has attendants.
This was a great episode. I think the south NJ beaches are the most beautiful on the east coast.

Central and north NJ west of the turnpike is beautiful. And Northwest NJ is really beautiful with mountains and mostly rural. But like New York the large cities suck up all the tax revenue. New York City ought to be it's own state and give the rest of NY a break from the giant city tax burden.

I watch all your videos and enjoy them a lot. I am a base to see all those small towns with almost no population. I wonder if it would be possible to see them during the week (Monday through Friday) instead of Sunday or Saturday.

New Jersey is both ugly and beautful. It depends where you go. In the northeast its smelly, dirty and uninhabitable. in the western, northern and southern portions its very beautiful, rural and accomodating. As long as you stay away from the big cities, you'll do fine.

I’m here in South Jersey where Lambertville is not too far from me also Philadelphia is in as well which is very high in crime I wonder what they doing this little town to keep it from being violent like Hampton County which is in far and Philly

Interesting hidden place in America! Get your own gas in Atla you risk robbery or getting shot, if youre in the wrong places. Wst Paces Ferry is one & it bleeds over to upper Roswell. Dwntwn Roswell has great restaurants & Historic places. Come visit.

These little towns are all over the North East, I've been to many of them in Mass, R. I, and Connecticut, I thought they were all real cool, my favorite was Mystic CT, home of Mystic Pizza (the movie, the pizza was ok. The river is Hugh there.

You can add Massachusetts to the list of states that have gasoline attendants. Newly added. Also, there is a bill in the state of NJ to allow people to pump their own gas. Gas station owners are finding it difficult to find workers.

00: 02 I used to see the Delaware River from the Jersey side where you're pointing the camera. I used to live in Glassboro and Pennsville New Jersey. Pennsville I always see the Delaware River.

This is great. I lived in Washington Crossing NJ in the 80s. Nothing much has changed since then except for a few more traffic lights. Thanks for sharing

That bridge is always busy. Easier on 2 wheels! Also, there’s great hamburgers and milkshakes on the PA side of the bridge in Stockton.
