Scenic Drive Along Lake Mead to the Hoover Dam Las Vegas Nevada Area Scenic Drive 4K

Scenic driving in Nevada and Arizona through Lake Mead National Recreation Area on Lakeshore Drive along the shrinking Lake Mead to the Hoover Dam in 4K/5K. Along the way we stop at the scenic overlooks and beaches, and see how far Lake Mead's water level has dropped in the last 22 years. We then head to the Hoover Dam, stopping and walking on the Mike O'CallaghanPat Tillman Memorial Bridge and soaking in the magnificent views of the Hoover Dam and Colorado River, then driving and walking on the Hoover Dam. (Apologies for the wind noise, filming was done in very windy conditions)

Hey AED
I have been there and yes the water is so blue!
Plus it's so high up.
And there is a museum too.
Another great thing about #HooverDam is that it can be seen from space!
There's a plaque on the road saying just that.
I still have my REAL photos from there.
I went in 1999-ish.
Great video but look how that water has receded.
OMG!
CLIMATE CHANGE has hit it!
Dam it (pun intended)
Love from Scotland

Awesome video and marvelous with no audio interference. We boated on the lake from 1983 for three years. We were there when the spillway overflowed and I have pictures of the fish going over. We saw each year, the water levels decreasing. Thank you for this video.

Loved this gorgeous video! By far, the best coverage and footage of traveling around the Hoover Dam and Lake Mead that we've seen. Would very much love to see the drive from Hoover Dam to South Rim of the Grand Canyon. Thanks for sharing your travels with us.

Wow, the lake was way full or a lot more water when we were there 30 yrs ago, all those places you stopped at had water, devastating, the west is going to run out of water, pretty sad, it will never fill up again because of mega drought & overpopulation

(6: 10min mark) - Beautiful blue body of water enters the scene.
Scenic driving (or walking) videos with no music and natural sounds are awesome to watch. Great content, thanks for sharing!

I would hate to get stranded there. Beautiful scenery. Too bad water is dying up.

A ride that's both very scenic and very depressing. Have you done a trip to the North Rim of the Grand Canyon

Hope we start getting some rain and snow to feed Lakes Mead and Powell while they still qualify as Lakes.
