I'm definitely all about getting flight vouchers. It's almost worth it to plan a delay in your trip. Maybe you really want to get there Tuesday, then plan to leave Monday and try to book the busiest flight and time, get to the airport early and try to be one of the first ones to volunteer to take a later flight for a voucher, could even get a free hotel or meal voucher with it. Then a future adventures flight is paid for I was almost lucky with this a month ago, unfortunately was second on the list, but the wife and I got free upgrades to business class free beer

Sorry guys but as someone having to fly during those peak times I can tell you that Marko is wrong about putting the stuff from your pockets into your coat, if it is metal of any kind, and therefore want you to put change in your carry on back or one of the smaller bins with the jewelry.

we were going to be only carry on but a family member wants us to bring a package for the family we're visiting so we have to check that in. hopefully the lines aren't too long since we're going right between end of Christmas and before new years

Great tips, I try to avoid checking in bags all the time, purely because when I arrive at my destination I want to go explore, not wait around for half an hour for a suitcase. You should do some more travel tip videos =)
