vagabrjthers, do you really believe in all that nonsense in the Borat movie? And the movie was about Kazakhstan, not Uzbekistan, but anyway its a completely false, everything in that movie. If you really believe that everything in the movie is true, than its you who came to Uzbekistan from the middle of nowhere, you should visit Kazakhstan and see the reallity and home of Borat there in your West, there that actor lives.

8: 16 - LifeColor Bizarro. It looks like the Uzbek language is written in the Latin alphabet while the Russian language which was imposed when this was part of the USSR is written in Cyrillic. So people here presumably read both. And as this advertising sign shows, English creeps in everywhere in pop culture all over the world.

Relatively new country? Seriously? Bukhara and Samarkand have been important trading outposts on the Silk Road for thousands of years. They are among the oldest inhabited places in the world. Accuracy is your friend.

Thank you for the wonderful and informative video. Makes me want to visit Uzbekistan even more. On a sidenote, I thought Borat was from Kazakhstan? Anyway, he did so much injustice to the wonderful country of Kazakhstan.
