Times out so the Osprey is the safest aircraft in the military but is also the same aircraft that likely took the most lives in test phasing? Cant possibly be that safe if the President is banned from flying in it due to all the deaths while it was in test phase lol I still love this chopper tho

I am trying to figure out why this is titled the worlds safest, when so many lives have been lost since its development - I recall the petitions going around to Congress to initiate an investigation in the design of this thing. I for one would never fly in it. Id rather walk.

Safest? I remember watching test footage, and the whole aircraft went sideways, and the propels and wing went straight into the ground. The whole thing flew around like a spinner-top and went up in flames. Im pretty sure the test pilots were killed in the process

lol all the comments ItS nOT SaFe sure its killed around 40 people but look at the 747 it has over 3000 deaths the DC-10 around 1200. but no everyone thinks the V22 is the most dangerous aircraft ever made everyone dies in the V22.

I have a vacation home just south of MACS in NC and see these flying ALL the time up and down the beach. a NOVICE bird hunter could smack one to earth with a basic slug round. what the hell is the government doing with our money?
