(Flight Review) Qantas A380-800 Melbourne to Los Angeles Premium Economy QF93 MEL-LAX (VH-OQK) January 6, 2018 Skram: Sorry to bother you, but I'm heading off from Melbourne to Vancouver in a couple of weeks and am trying to chose whether to fly Qantas premium economy Airbus A380-800 with a flight change at LAX (to a Boeing 737-800 for the last 3 hours) or to fly Air Canada premium economy, non stop on the Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner.
I'm sure the differences between the two options aren't _that_ significant, but I have some pretty shitty pain issues which can be made a lot worse when I can't shift around a bit (I have 15 screws and a lot of plating around my hip plus nerve damage etc.
Anyway, I'm just not familiar enough with newer airlines to know which of the two airline models offer the most flexible seating, so if you have any info I'd be super grateful.
Cheers.
Oh yeah, I have no idea if this matters wrt the overall quality of the experience, but the Qantas flight is being operated by Westjet and the Air Canada flight by Virgin Australia if that changes anything. Ta

Thanks for your reply to my prior question. How would you compare PE on A380-800 to 787-9? I can switch to a flight on 787-9 but have reservations, given the mixed reviews re: PE seats and issues with legroom when seat in front of you is reclined. Anyone care to comment?

If you had it to do over, would you choose a seat in row 28? Any issues with noise? Other observations? We are booked on flight 94 for an upcoming trip and need to select seats. Seats in row 28 are the only window/aisle seats open.

I sure hope those midnight snacks are always this one! And how did you sleep and how long? How comfortable was the seat? Breakfast? Coffee etc? Good trip? Turbulence?

Where is that bit where everyone, except the Kiwis, are standing up and gathering around the boarding gate waiting to board (even though they are not next.

Great video. Sorry but the recline didnt look that great to me even though the seat looked well padded and comfortable. Food was of a very high standard.

Did you really wear socks going into the lavatory? That is disgusting and I advise you not to do so, but other than that great trip report.

Im actually booked to fly the Sydney to Dallas leg of my trip in one of those beasts in premium economy. Any things I should know?

Great review but please remove or at least minimise and move the logo/captions somewhere that don't get in the way of the presentation.
