This video shows you the beautiful arrival and landing to Quito Mariscal Sucre Airport (UIO / SEQM) in Ecuador. We take you inside the cockpit showing what it is like to fly the Boeing 747-400 ERF. Quito is one of the highest elevated airports in the world. It is located between mountains on a hill with a steep canyon on short final creating potentially challenging winds for landing. It is therefore classified as a category C airport, requiring special training for the pilots before being allowed to fly to Quito. Landing was made on runway 36. All ATC and cockpit audio is also included.

This is a honor to watch, honestly. The only 747 that arrives to Quito is a cargo used mostly to export flowers, and I get to see the pilots behind that? Simply amazing!
Also there's some history to this video. If this was really recorded/uploaded on Nov 2019, it means this was one of the first flight they did after a series of riots halted the entire nation and marked a before and after in Ecuador. This is one of the first flights on our new 21st century period.

Why you don't use VNAV (twisting altitude all the time in MPC) and approach fully - why are you steer when approach turned on? It's EHAM - TNCB - SEQM - SEGU? I remember earlier one crew flew from Amsterdam to Bonaire and went out to rest there and was replaced by another by Ecuador, but you landing the plane in Amsterdam and Quito.

Awesome capture cap, like two months ago, we went around just in front of a KLM 744F (taxing in) in Quito, they landed just before we go around, crazy winds, starting with tail changing to head winds on short final, we were in a B767F from Latam Cargo! Keep doing these amazing videos!

God i could never travel in an aeroplane, that bouncing and heeling over at an angle, i would be very travel sick. My loss, great pity that, but it looks wonderful for those that can. wow the way the pilot is continually correcting on the last 100 feet, amazing and very skillful.

Anyone can tell us, after landing what first officer off and on the switch, 1-2-3-4-5-8-9, Why the pilot let him do it. What are they making off, we saw any video cockpit the same way, what is the first officer job as well.
From New England. (US.

It is my impression or to land a 747 is easier than other types of aircrafts? Because in 787, 737, airbus family the pilots move too much the manch or sidestyck when make approaching to runway.

I can't get over how huge that plane is. When he calls out 60 knots that plane is still moving at highway speed, but it looks like he's driving in a school zone.

Did we land?
I think so, although I didn't feel anyhing, so smooth.
Great video as always but poor headphone users because of that audio.

My wife and I had the worst flight landing into Quito from the Amazon on a small plane, super turbulent and lights in the cabin were switching on and off.
