The aesthetic falls short for this segment. Ratio of body side surface area to overall wheel size looks wrong as wheels look undersize. This isn't so much the wheel/tire packaging being undersized but rather the shape of the body. Not a flattering shape overall but not horrible. A bit conservative and bland for a $60-70K SUV.
Big bonus for the MDX is it preserves its rock solid Honda V6 versus loathsome Toyota switching to less reliable and noisier 4 cylinder turbo in the similarly sized RX350, a shameful move for Toyota for their flagship SUV at this price point.
Credit to Acura for their powertrain selection. The NA version in particular of V6 with just shy of 300hp should be dead reliable out of warranty and provide ample power and 200K miles with only oil changes.
No bullsh_t hybrid complexity or EV powertrain with degrading battery or failing electronics with age to worry about, both a 'marketing' ruse perpetrated on the tech illiterate public.

They butchered my boy.
Actually liked the touch pad.
Yes it didn’t make sense for someone hopping from car to car. But once learned it was fantastic, which is what matters in the real world. Hate pecking at a screen.
And oh boy, that B&O stereo has some big shoes to fill. I fear it may fall short as B&O systems have been very underwhelming everywhere else I’ve experienced them.
Still too much piano black and not enough front storage.

The CX90 is still superior
There is only a single thing where Acura absolutely destroys the CX90 though:
The sound system
The ELS Studio is infinitely better sounding AND better looking than the Bose system in the Mazda. which also just has plastic speaker covers instead of fancy aluminum grilles
Now the MDX has Bang and Olufsen. kudos

MDX is best selling luxury 3 row in America.
Not the best selling 3 row in America.
There aren't too many luxury 3 row options available, that can compete with this MDX in features per dollar
That being said, personally overall the Telluride/Palisade are way better pound per pound vehicles than this Acura.

Could you also include a metric on visibility, specially at what distance in front of behind the vehicle would a small child be actually visible over the massive hood Vehicle safety should consider the safety of pedestrians and cyclists as well.

they could not resist to splash a bucket full of piano black plastic in the most critical places. that combined with the touchscreen will turn this interior into fingerprint central in a day. i prefer the touchpad. why not mention cx-90 once, Alex

Excellent updates and 31 speakers! Still wish for a couple of other things, but no deal breakers. And they really need to move the 2nd row vents to the ceiling and add 3rd row vents as well.

That infotainment was keeping me from considering Acura. I love that you can get a bench with all trims. That advanced trim looks very appealing to me. I definitely don't need 355 HP.

Honestly, I think the new Buick Enclave has a nicer interior. That blue and ivory combo with the single screen Alex showed had a unique style. If only the exterior was better!

10: 59 wait I thought the old base 3. 5 VTEC engine was being replaced with the cam phaser DOHC 3. 5 from the new Honda Pilot
Also I’m still missing the old Sport Hybrid

The touchpad was so bad, no one cares that this is essentially the infotainment from the Accord lol. Also, how the hell was this the best seller with that touchpad

How does the B&O sound The ELS audio is one of the important selling points for the current gen. would be a shame if they give us something and take away the other

Very well done video.
We almost pulled the trigger on an MDX last year and didn’t buy it solely because of the touchpad/infotainment. Smart move fixing it.

Still a bit too much piano black! But nice touch screen. Finally. The QX60 still has a bench on higher trims, I prefer the exterior of that vehicle.

They have fixed my biggest gripe of the MDX, the horrid touch pad is finally gone. Love the refreshed looks as well. If only the 3rd row was bigger

I miss Trac pad, as owner of rdx, mdx, and tlx and integra. I was going to trade in my 2023 mdx type S for 2025, but that alone will make me wait

Black trims, black accents, or Night packages are way over done these days. I much prefer body-colored trims and/or silver trims and/or accents.
