The thing I like about it is it reminds me of my friends 1982 Toyota supra, it was a similar color but more orange. The styling is nice But I have no reason to waste my money on a rapidly depreciating electric vehicle and where would I charge it out of town and how many hours My old Mercedes has a lot more room, luxurious, 24mpg, 302hp and makes a great sound, fills in minutes, winter doesn't effect my range, it doesn't catch on fire when refueling, is more reliable than EV's, less expensive to repair than EV, many more people work on it than EV's. EV's are a solution to a problem that I don't have. Lets stick to Hybrids if you must have something complicated. But honestly it takes about seven years to pay back the additional cost of a hybrid system, most people aren't going to save even a nickel over the ownership of a Hybrid and the next owner may have to spend $6, 000 to replace the small Hybrid battery pack.

I think this and the new C-HR will be popular. Many people are okay sacrificing space for style. And Subaru did a great job differentiating it from the Toyota twin. I love that Subaru now has three very distinct EV options - 4-door coupe, hatchback, and wagon. The lack of a glovebox is a weird decision. I also think the pop-up instrument cluster may not work for all drivers, with some having to make compromises with steering wheel and seat height. I’d like to see that screen be more like either the Mach-E or what Xaomi and Lincoln are doing with a strip at the base of the windshield. Overall, I like the package. Hopefully the pricing is competitive.

Still not sold on EV's. First, though the parts are expensive, there are a lot less of them. Costs are too much. Second, range, 300 miles means it's a urban/suburban car not any sort of a road trip car. TO my mind that makes it's use limited. HYbrids are the best choice. However Subaru's hybrids are costly and not very good. If you want a AWD hybrid look at the Maverick. The mileage I'm getting is consistently better than the EPA rating. For urban/suburban driving I get close to 50mpg. on the Highway I get 33-35mpg.

I would love to see the HK audio be an option on the sport. That would be the real winner instead of going to the GT to get it and a few other things. I also wish they would go with the retractable cargo cover instead of the bulky one piece. I see in this video there appears to be the notch cut out to perhaps allow the retractable cover to pull open and latch. Any chance this might come with the level 1 charger I would sell my Crosstrek PHEV to get this!

Is it just me or is this uncharted not as bad looking as refreshed solterra or trailseeker I still would choose CHR though. Second is the roofline more sloping on the subaru perhaps being body colored vs black on chr has it playing tricks on my eyes
Lastly why subaru has front-wheel-drive an AWD option while Toyota version only has AWD option Shouldn't it be the other way around Make it make sense

Its crazy how Subaru has completely destroyed its identity in the past 3 years. Forester looks like a Ford, Solterra and this are Toyotas with no resemblance to Subarus, the Outback is no longer a wagon, the STI(dead) and WRX has been a flop. The impreza doesnt sell any more and they bastardized the RS name. The only one that is still sticking to subaru roots is the crosstrek.

Honestly, the product is very middle of the road (not ambitious in terms of charging, range or price) and I think that Subaru is slowly becoming to Toyota, what Mercury was to Ford. Slightly restyled but identical otherwise. It's ok, until you drive a Tesla or see what the Koreans are doing. Maybe this will be good for mainstream people though, I don't know. It looks fine.

Front wheel drive doesn’t necessarily have better traction than rear wheel drive on an EV. Maybe in a car with a heavy combustion engine on top of the front axle, but in an EV, the weight is more evenly distributed front/rear. Front wheel drive may induce torque steer which will actually result in worse traction than rear wheel drive.

Ghastly Toyota inspired touches: poor rear access, another convoluted dash with uncomfortable steering wheel and awkward ergonomics that force the driver to adapt to the car, the doors open partially, limiting access. Why Is Subaru caving in to Toyota Is this the death of Subaru Sad!

Honesty not bad. We are considering a simple runabout EV and using the Mini Cooper and Outback for other various adventures.
The Bolt EUV is the one that makes a lot of sense. But something like this is compelling. But yeah that front is NOT airy enough.

Where are the Fog Lights If I'm not mistaken that 6 stack are the DRLs. The headlight is the the light below. I don't see any on the Solterra or Trailseeker either. Please Toyota & Subaru put proper Fog Lights on them. My 2023 Solterra has them.

I feel like with every new EV I’m hoping for 400 miles of range and 0-80% in 10 minutes, but it never seems to happen. I don’t see any reason to switch from gas or hybrid until BEV have the same versatility

It definitely needs a rear windshield wiper that is not steep enough to not need it even my wife’s Tucson, which is almost a straight down window has a windshield wiper, and we need it in northeast

I wouldn't have offered the FWD version on the Subaru, but to the Soltara on the next refresh. Subaru is AWD on everything and should stick to it as its what they are know for.

Im so done with massive wheels. Give me 16s with fat tires please please please. Its a subaru not a porsche. The ride quality isnt there on commodity cars to have that thin of tires

Those aren’t fog lights. That’s where they chose to put the headlights. The units shaped like headlights are just the DRL/Turn/Parking lights.

Either range estimates should be at 80% charge or charge times should be to 100%. The current way these are listed are deceptive.
