Never before has a richly appointed lounge been able to accelerate or handle this well. Luxo-barge is probably the best way to describe the biggest Mercedes SUV, but this isn't the 1970s Cadillac that such a name might evoke. Why? Because somehow Mercedes has managed to make this beast handle like a much smaller vehicle. No, it won't handle like a GLC, but it'll certainly shock anyone that thinks a big SUV has to handle poorly. Oh, and it's wicked expensive.
John: Mercedes went a little backwards with the hard plastics on the bottom part of the door panel. It was soft touch plastic before. Optional stitched leather I know is available, but disappointing at this price point. Once you get to this price range there shouldn't be hard touch plastics in view. Overall it is still a good redesign and huge leap in tech from the previous gen. Date: 2020-05-08
