The hybridization strategy makes a lot of sense - Toyota is one of the few large automakers who just meets the strict European corporate emissions limit without paying any fines. Pure EVs are incredibly expensive to build and even more to purchase, not to mention almost all automakers actually lose money on EVs. Of course, BEV fanboys are too blinded by scientology to see the rationality behind this.

I chose the current Sienna because it had better ground clearance than any of the competitors. The new 2021 model looks really low to the ground which is bad news if you drive in snow or on two tracks. Do you know what the ground clearance will be? All wheel drive is worthless with four or five inches of ground clearance.

I have a feeling Toyota knows what they're doing. People who have minivans, mostly people with children, need car seats for about 11 years per child in most jurisdictions. When there's a child seat in the seat, that seat isn't getting folded or taken out. I'm betting this is the vast majority of their minivan customers.

I am very interested when you can do a direct comparison (actually driving) between the Pacifica and the Sienna- I seriously hope the Pacifica can win. I'm really interested in the stow and go which you said was not available on the Pacifica hybrid. Always enjoy your reviews- hope you are out there driving again soon.

Why on earth does there not an option for the larger infotainment screen? Big whiff on Toyota's part there. Even the newer Pacifica will have a 10. 5 screen on larger models. Airbag schmairbag. If I can't take out second-row seats, I lose a TON of cargo practicality.

Toyota better have plans in place on how to add a plug to all of their newer hybrid models, because the RAV4 Prime is going to sell like crazy. A Sienna Prime with more power and usable all-electric range? Sign me up.

Easily the best looking minivan so far, they did amazingly on the styling. It especially looks great from the side and back, though the grill is a little too big. I've wanted to see sienna hybrid since 2006!

Alex, We read about the Hybrid Sienna over a year ago in your very own COMMENTS section; ) Hybrid is the way to go in 2020 and the 3, 500 lbs tow rating is more than adequate. Odyssey eat your heart out!

If I may correct you Alex I saw in the image that the base siennas will come with the smaller 4. 2 inch lcd cluster but you mentioned that all trims get the 7 inch lcd cluster
