I think the Mojave is the trim to get for those that drive a log on un-maintained forest roads. If you want to maintain a good clip without bottoming out in surprises this would do very well. I think its main competitor would be the ZR2 with it's special suspension. The forest professional might want to consider this along with full size trucks so the cost would be compatible. If the conditions worsen or the roads get narrower the Gladiator becomes more viable. I still think the ZR2 would suit them better specially with the turbo diesel. After many decades of driving off-road with manual transmissions (including a 5-speed V8 Chevy) I have to admit the latest auto is far more relaxing. Of course I didn't have hill hold assist in my days, but you only have to get caught in the wrong gear at the wrong time to note the advantages of the auto.

Remember in the 1970s, 80s and even 90s when trucks were the cheap new vehicle to buy? I remember a friend buying a Nissan Hardbody in 92 or 93 for less than the cost of a Nissan Sentra. The Ford Ranger was a fleet vehicle because it was cheap and reliable. Now? Trucks cost twice as much as cars for no other reason than the manufacturers being greedy.

Way too expensive for me, but I guess some people are willing to pay for the lifestyle and the convertible aspect. The truck is basically an exercise in marketing.

totally impracticable. but this video proves that on a summer's day with the doors and top off that their is nothing I would want to drive more than a Mojave.

0: 23 Because of the ongoing pandemonium in the world. While I think you meant pandemic, sadly, you are correct using this phrase as well.
