Jeep's plug in hybrid system has been a tad controversial. If you can't plug it in, fuel economy seems to be middling. Part of that is the weight and off-road mission of the Wrangler 4xe and the Grand Cherokee 4xe, and part of that is the way Jeep calculates the MPGs, which is stupid. That said, if you can't plug in and you want to save on gas, you should look towards a MPG-focused full hybrid or just buy the Jeep with the V6. - Smooth, quiet EV-like driving
- Long lasting brakes with regen
- Never hostage to public charging which is often occupied, ICED, vandalized, broken or surveilled by bandits who want sitting-duck BEV owners.

PHEV & Range Extenders will radically cut fuel usage while negating the need for billion of public charging to cover every possible eventuality

The calculation for mileage is the same as the Pacifica Hybrid which has been around for a while. Stellantis is not changing it anytime soon.

26 EV miles ain't bad for such large vehicle. Thad be enough for a day in the city in heavy traffic with zero petrol use.
