The
This guy is cluless about the Type R mission lol Its not a spoiler - its a WING
Removes lift/adds rear stability which is important at the speeds even a stock R can achieve let alone the speeds enthusiasts reach like myself.
Its NOT the same engine - I wasnt even there and just from the video I can tell you the intake tract is all new with what looks like a cooling/volume chamber above the turbo where the old cast aluminum inlet used to be.
Also look at the size of the new air intake for the factory airbox - easily double the size of the old one. The turbo is also larger and is rumored to be a twin scroll similar to what the Si is using only much much larger.
The chassis is longer, wider and stiffer - one of the main reasons why its faster than the LE - the stock fenders on the FK8 can house 305s comfortably - this FL5 will easily fit 315s upfront and probably 295s in the rear where 275s were tight.
Higher grip levels, higher chassis rigidity and a longer wheelbase for better high speed stability. a monster once you up the boost.
These engines can hold 620hp to 680hp pretty easily now. At 3100lbs its a fun ride.

No thanks Honda. It's way too large and looks like a bland sedan. The red interior is gaudy and I hate it. Should have offered black interior option! No hand brake on a manual transmission vehicle is a mistake.
I'd rather buy the upcoming GR Corolla Hatchback. It's a real hatchback design and offers AWD, Black interior and a real hand brake.

I think it would just look better without the spoiler but i think it looks good and less over-styled. However it is missing something to make it more unique without doing fake vents etc
Edit: its missing aggressive wheel arches that would really separate it, like the previous version had

Exactly what I was looking for: a subtle standard plain Jane looking type r that shows how normal a hot hatch can be and not stand out at all.
Looking forward to more sports cars that look like their economy counterparts.

I imagine there is going to be a 'small' dealer mark-up on each one of these. So whenever MSRP is announced, add in 10K + taxes, document fees and transportation and you should be at the price you will actually pay.

Jeez that rear spoiler was definitely an after thought. Looks terrible. They def toned down the car a lot. maybe too much. Looks like a regular civic/accord basicallly.

This is going to be fantastic! Great looks, toned down enough for me. This thing is going to drive beautifully. The new Si handles very well, this is going to be mega!

Great work Brian. I thought when Alex got a helper I'd be annoyed and want Alex on all videos but you have similar ways of doing videos to him.
