Caddy's Pragmatic Family Hauler Is A Bit Expensive 2022 Cadillac XT6

Thanks to a trick second row seat design, the XT6 is our top pick for young families looking for a premium 3-row CUV. On the downside the XT6's price tag seems a bit too large when you stack it up against the competition from Acura, Volvo and Lincoln. HellKitty: Cadillac desperately needed to enter into this class after such a late arrival. But I feel GM gave it such a small budget since Cadillac was moving full-steam ahead on EVs. This vehicle does not make a solid case to purchase it over a GMC Acadia Denali for instance. I'd even go so far as to say the Hyundai Palisade Caligraphy is more luxurious and substantially cheaper. And at 72K(with spartan guages and Chevy-quality leather, you can get a loaded Genesis GV80 for that money, on top of an X5 or GLE with a good amount of options.
I also wish that Cadillac based it on the larger Traverse platform over the smaller GMC. It just looks so stubby from certain angles plus the longer wheelbase would've helped with interior packaging.
Alex, small caveat: The QX60 also uses a 3. 5L nat aspirated V6 as well.

GM should have made the 2. 7t and 3. 0tt more modular, while updating the XTS V-Sport 3. 6tt. The XT4 getting the 2. 0t for the Luxury and base Premium Luxury trim. The 2. 7t for uprated Premium Luxury, while being standard on the V-Sport. The XT5 getting the 2. 7t for the Luxury trim and base Premium Luxury trim. The 3. 0tt being the uprated Premium Luxury and V-Sport trim. The XT6 getting the 3. 0tt for the Luxury and base Premium Luxury trim. And the updated 3. 6tt for the Premium Luxury and V-Sport models. The updated 3. 6tt mated to the 9 spd producing around 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of tq. That should have been their lineup since the 2. 7t came out for the Silverado and Sierra.

I test drive the XT6 while shopping for a new family car. I felt the interior was not up to the same standard as Acura or a Mazda CX-9. After all my shopping I went with a VW Atlas SEL. It was priced in the mid 40s and feels on the same level of luxury as the Cadillac.

Alex, I would much rather have my spare tire inside at a jaunty angle 10: 34 than underneath the vehicle encrusted in grime. When the true three row Lexus CUV finally arrives, I will be curious to see how spacious the back row is.

I love Cadillac, the Escalade, xt4, xt5, ct4 and xt5 blackwing are great vehicles and the lyriq is a game changer but this is the single worst product they have on the market atm. The interior is subparr for even a Buick.

This doesn't stand a chance against Lincoln Aviator and Jeep GCL, not even close. Lazy money grab, vehicles like this ruined and ruin GM, this is GM at its worst in a nutshell. The Cimarron of this decade.

If I need three row SUV for the family I would not buy this type of vechicle I would take the new 2022 Toyota Sienna Limited with AWD it is more specious, more cheaper, more reliable and has a great resell price.

Same with Lincoln. They knock any shared part it has with a Ford. Cadillac and Lincoln seem to get way more hate compared to most luxury brands even though they have come so far in terms of actual Luxury

Funny to watch these from Europe. 21mpg is something like 11l/100km that would be considered horrific here, still gets A tho. :D I understand that it's per class but from my viewpoint it shouldn't.

I will say one small detail: the practicality of the passenger side 2nd row seat feature of tilting forward is heavily limited due to the seat belt not being apart of the seat.

I tried this car out on a road test. I liked it except that the seat bottom was too short for my thighs and the telescoping steering wheel didn t extend far enough out.

There s a reason why GM does not sell well anywhere outside North America and why they had to sell the Open brand in Europe. This is why, their cars are horrible.

Jst give my the Lincoln aviator jet package look and feels better then this thing test one last week and I must say it's on top of my list hail aviator

The reason luxury 3 rows of this sort don t sell is because they offer little more than a Hyundai Palisade at an excessive price delta.
