Good youre dumping it. Honestly the longer time goes on, the more we see what a poorly engineered, cobbled together POS this truck is. And that is before you consider the 20K price increase we saw in just one year. Long recharge times, losing half your range when towing or it's cold (35 degrees) out, Ford saying to use seat heaters and the heated steering wheel rather than the heater when it's cold and then removing the heated steering wheel for 2023. It's clear that Ford never took this fake lightning seriously and the result is a staggeringly bad vehicle.

I barely have time to charge my phone. I don't need another piece of battery I'll need to remember to plug in when it's -20 outside now, too. I have remote starts for my ICE and they work well when I'm too lazy and it's too cold to go outside, thank you very much!

I put in my reservation for an F150 lightning at probably the last possible moment before they closed (late Nov 2021. Today I got an email from Ford that I should be able to order my truck Summer of 2023, the last possible date is August 2023 for the 2023 model year.

Would your thoughts and opinions of this particular truck also apply to the standard range? My truck will be a standard range. I drive almost exclusively local. My only worry is I could be buying an already outdated technology in the standard range.

6: 33 This THING should be made standard to every EV if possible. Vehicle to Load/Grid or V2G.
It's no giant change in hardware and diodes on electrical boards. It's such a waste it's not bring done seriously, with a steep price entry.

Electric range is miserable and it s too expensive, ev technology is just not ready yet, diehard ev fans can have there under 4 second 0-60 mph back, most people are not ready to own an ev and neither is our charging infrastructure

I can't keep up with charging my Cell Phone, let alone the car. So I own a 2022 F150 Lariat full Hybrid 3. 5L fully loaded truck, it came with 7. 2Kw pro onboard power pack and it is an awesome truck no doubt.

Really happy to have purchased a used gas truck and cancelled my lightning. I tow, and having to put up with that while trying to get 1200 miles away is not something I think they are setup for yet.

Thanks for the review.
Lots of reviews out there are also pointing out that the lightning is not performing well in cold weather climates. Food for thought for those who experience harsh winters.

Isn t there an extension package you could get, like metal brushed extending out from the underbody, that drags along a metal strip imbedded in the road that gives you unlimited range?

Really? Truck of the year? The EV marketing hype is relentless trying to convince people they want one. Other reviewers like hoovie showed the flaws and seemed happy to move on from it.

Great product. Had an order but it took too long. But now after 2 major price increases of about 16K it was expensive before. Now its a little irresponsible. Even with major incomes
