A Hyundai with 641 horsepower? Yep, that's the new Ioniq 5 N. This takes Hyundai's N brand not just to the next level, but to the next universe. Up to this point no N car has ever had more than 286 HP and this Ioniq more than doubles that. It's also the N brand's first AWD vehicle and the first one to send the majority of the power to the rear wheels. While we wait for pricing and more details, we do know it's just around the corner, early 2024 to be exact.

its not costing 60- 70k. the Elantra N is 10k more than a base Elantra, Model 3 Performance is 12k more than a base Model 3, the Kia ev6 GT which is basically its sibling, cost 19k more than the normal ev6. however, that ev6 costs 2k more off the bat I guess it is possible it could be around 65k. hopefully they stay true with their current pricing and end up being only 19k more which would be only 59k, or it could be the same price as the ev6 GT. either way, its much more expensive than a model 3 performance but its simply better in so many ways, except no NACS and the charge port is currently on the wrong side for supercharging the car if they adopt NACS in the future, which they will have to change to the other side of the car when they do switch over.

It has a rear wiper! Hopefully it will have wireless apple/android support now too.
The adjustable suspension better be up to the job because a 2 ton car on those P-zero 275/35 21 tyres on European back / B-roads could be a little uncomfortable. UK pot-holes will destroy them.
I understand this will be priced to budget but surely Carbon brakes should be an option as well as a interior more interesting than black and grey.

Can't believe all this frontal air intake is needed, looks more gimicky (is a S plaid having more cooling than the regular)
Also why did they keep the lead acid 12v battery? Li-ion would have been appropriate for a perf oriented car.
Hopefully it handles better than the Ioniq 6n seen recently.

I still think the ioniq 5 is one of the most unique and beautiful new designs on the market, its just a hard sell Vs the tesla model y, especially if it's more expensive, and less performant. This N line is very attractive, well executed, just hope it beats the model y in value and discounts.

One thing about Hyundai is nobody can say they're not trying to create excitement in the EV game. This is a cool little hatch. In terms of mainstream, this thing seems to be in a class of one. The Model 3/Y Performance is the closest, but likely pricier.

All the people who are saying they want EVs because it's carbon neutral are lying to themselves and everyone else.
These cars are disgusting wastes of resources that could be making fleets of cheap, light commuting vehicles.

Well, it was what I was waiting for when I heard after KIA made their GT version that Hyundai would do one too. Ugh, only fear how much gouging the dealerships plan to do to customers or how long one will wait to get one =\

My MSRP dealer will only sell allocation to individuals but I m sticking with my 2023 AWD. I really don t need to impress Tesla Track Mode lovers or anyone else with more power than I already have. 13: 24

Is the screen itself larger? Or does the new black frame just make the bezels look smaller? Also thank god they updated the HVAC controls!

Looks bada! However, the front gloss black plastic is going to get chewed up by rocks in 6 months. I already saw scratches on the rear plastic.

Just saying a MachE GT traps a 100mph in the 1/4 mile. It just hs a good 0-60 and that s it. Overall it s terrible performance car

The seats appear to be very similar to the seats in the Kia EV6GT. My question is are the seats manual or power operated?
