Finding the world's best luxury car - what's quietest and most comfortable

We've taken a sample of the world's most luxurious cars from the most prestigious brands to see, whether from front or rear seats, which is the most isolated and comfortable, as well as which is the quietest. The new BMW i7 will tell us whether an electric powertrain moves the game onwards. And we've included a classic Rolls-Royce Silver Cloud to see how far the game as come in the past 60 years.

14: 30 What fools. They put a digital cluster for the gauges to replicate real gauges. Im sorry have you seen rich ppl collect watches The real watches with real mechanical hardware. Thats missing here. Instead of a beautifully stunning guauge pack built by one of the worlds finest watch makers they give us a game boy screen. What garbage. As a luxury owner i don't want a screen. Screens to me are cheap, plastic and frankly will depixilate delaminate and fail. Rubbish.

Amazing db readings from Rolls - it's hard to see how the Spectre could improve on that. Also, the Silver Cloud is a thing of genuine beauty. I am not sure I could say the same about any of the others with the possible exception of the Range Rover which I think conceptually gets closest to restrained elegance that I think defines a true luxury car.

These 2 alone could bring down a Rolling Stones consert by just being there. THAT'S how boring they are! And for that reason, I'mma give this vid a dislike for missing what could have been an awesome review!
Oh and. Mercedes S65 AMG is missing!

reply

Rolls, Bentley and EVEN BLOODY FERRARI all felt the need to make a Range-Rover.
Says it all.
Apart form the S-Class, obviously
Annnnnnnnnd here come the americans arguing that a Caddilac made of plastic can compete.

How many times can you say sort of in 29 minutes
Good reviews, though. Where I live, I like a quiet, luxury car that leaves me feeling a lot less stressed after a commute. Given my choice, I'd take the Phantom.

Wow, a debate on the most luxurious, quietest, comfiest whatever car and not a Benz invited - is this some kind of a joke/trolling about Mercedes (S-Class) we are not catching on
reply

I really liked the inclusion of the 60 year old Cloud. I remember reading that the Silver Shadow was quite an improvement in handling and internal space (but not in sheer style.
reply

Silver cloud 3 is the best car in the world its a gentleman's car you arrive in them yrs ago my uncle had one I will never forget him coming to a council estate in it lol
reply

Technicalities with press departments aside how can you do a comparison of this calibre and omit the S Class (normal or Maybach) That would've been amazing, still a great video
reply

I don't know how you guys can do this review without a Maybach. I would assume you couldn't get the car for this test. If not, it's a big miss
reply

The best luxory car is the one you don't have to drive yourself. Luxory is about NOT having to do something. But peasants will _never_ appreciate that; )
reply

Phantom silence isn’t relaxing. Every little sound pricks your ears. Some Bentley hum and engine burble is much nicer to drift off in the back.
reply

For old luxury the Mercedes 600 is missing and it would show that rolls a thing or two. For new luxury the S maybach is missing as well.

Been watching you for quite some time now and your content continues to be interesting. Thank you for your quality and creativity.
