I spent a good few days crisscrossing Germany recently by car. I’ve been visiting the place since the early 80s. It’s changed - just as the UK has since then. This car will sell in Germany. On lease. In black. Downtown. To a certain demographic. None of which know nor care about Paul Rosche, or Mor Germany. Welcome to another example of what EU politicians have done to us.

Wow great, due to weight, this car damages the road 3. 5 times as much as a regular (1814 kg = 4000 lb) car. How can we expect electric cars to have any positiv net effect if we have to repair our roads 3-4 times as frequent. Electric individual transport is just a greenwashing badge of pointlessness at this current point.

Heavier than a Lucid Air with huge battery and even more power, that's just WILD.
How did they even accomplish this Twice the weight of the original Renault Espace 7-seater.

All a bit daft really. My partner has a Hyundai i20N, a cheap little retro hot hatch now axed because of emissions, just like the similar Fiesta ST. Yet these huge hybrids get through emissions regulations.

Do you know what would have probably reduced emissions and improved fuel economy even more than the hybrid system Making it LIGHTER than the last M5. Not an insane 600lb heavier.

Aint an m5. Hybrid and weighs the same as a tank. Just like the new c63 isnt an amg. 4 cylinder hybrid. Yuk. For me greatest m5 is the cs last gen

This thing looks so nasty and cheap. Ludicrously overweight. The hybrid stuff is a nonsense in sustainability terms. What a total crock of crap.

It is at least marginally less ugly than some other new BMW cars. I think I would rather have the V8 hybrid version of my Panamera Hybrid.

Noting that there isn't a ton of twisty road driving in this review and much of it seemed focused on the power. That's all you need to know.

Very nice looking car I found the last couple of iterations of M5 bulbus and uninspiring compared to a RS6 but this is correct
