Its ridiculous doing a standing start with a 2. 3 tonne Range Rover SVR which has 4x4 against a truck with ludicrous amounts of torque but is only RWD and hardly any weight over them! Why wasnt this done as a rolling start? Obviously the truck was going to break something with all that torque - I'm impressed it was only a torque arm! Its a great spectacle to see and well worth running again but at least with rolling starts.

if u went back to 1992 and the era that saw the mighty 18 litre V10 twin turbo Mercedes-Benz 1450s with ZF auto gearbox race around the tracks of Europe that would've been a different story. they had 1800hp and 0-100MPH was around 10 secs!

Interesting exercise! Don't suppose your average SVR owner, if such a person exists, will come up against one of these machines very often!
