Audi have taken one of their oldest running models and kept it looking old and dated. That dashboard is a mess with no thought about the position of that screen which will attract every theiving piece of scum in the neighbourhood, who will think they can just break the door glass and rip out a new pad to play with when they get home. Compared to other cars like the BMW X3, Merc GLC, Range Rover Evoque etc etc. this is gonna end up an expensive car because of all the options you will have to add to bring it up to the same standard as other cars in this segment. Other cars come with electric seats, pano roof, electric tailgate, park assist, leather seats etc etc for a much lower price point. Other cars will get you from A to B just as well as the Audi and will be better to drive with more steering feedback and driver involvement. This is a cheap re-hash of an old model that looks dated before it hits the streets. And remember that Audi do not have the best reliability record considering the price and the lengh of time they have had to sort out problems with the last model. Once the celebratory balloons deflate and the public find out the pricing structure for the varios trim lines, they may be making a bee line to other dealerships to spend their money. BMW, Merc, Evoque and Jaguar will be rubbing their hands in anticipation of increased sales. And don't forget about the fully loaded Santa Fe Sport and the upcoming Skoda Kodiaq which are priced to sell by the bucket load. Audi has missed a great chance to dominate the SUV market in this sector. Seems strange as they had over 8 years to get it right. Cheap re -hash, cheap labour costs but overpriced and dated looking. Boring as usual on all these new reviewers over the last 5 years. Does no one want to review vehicle worth a damn? Rhetorical. Give me all the specs and more details of how it feels. Most want a great combination of sporty and comfort that buy this and can afford it. Not too many 18 year olds buy this. Also, get on with it. Faster explanation. Spit it out quicker and cover more.

I agree with mostly everything the reviewer says except for his last statement. I mean, it's an SUV. It's not supposed to be a -drivers- car or at least much less so than the Macan is supposed to be. So that being the reason for it not to be the top if its class is pretty ridiculous.

Bought a new model of Q7, tons of noises: panoramic roof, chair (something sounded like a cricket, electronic break hard click noise (two clicks everytime you drive it, center console clicking noise. FML with 68K car. This Q5 i bet it would have similar issue if it was based off the Q7.

Audi has never been about driving dynamics but rather safe transport with quattro and built in understeer. Hence why as a driver you are totally disconnected from the car, which offers no feedback. Actually this reviewer is perfectly suited to review and Audi: )

do anyone know if it is possible to hide the screen in the dashboard, like you can in an a7? i hate that iPad looking thing that mercedes C-class and now maybe audi is doing.

So, now it's made in Mexico to reduce to cost and what goes to customers? cheaper price? I think Audi will even push the price up further.
