What a sad grandpa's car: bumpy ride even in comfort, fake drift mode, shiny plastics, reflective instruments cluster without lid, ridiculous turbo badges and aero kit, shiny wheel and loud speakered engine noise inside, quiet outside that would certainly please that baby that used to make wroom wroom when cars were passing by 70 years ago.
We accept bids on how long (in seconds) the standard brakes are going to last or the engine for that matter when given the beans. by the way even the gearbox you can feel from the audio is lagged with power/torque drop when switching gears under full acceleration. HOW CAN THEY NOT MAKE an instant gear change like the VW group has been doing with DSG/S-tronic from 2003, it just takes one clutch closing just as the other opens up

A surprisingly lukewarm, faint praise review for a very special car when driven in the real world. As for the tech overload. well turn off all of the bits that you don-t life. it is not hard to do. Drivers are now massively spoilt with so much ability and configurable choice but it highlights that the delightful handing cars of older years were engineered correctly in the first place and didn-t need complication. just let a good driver and engineer set it up and then enjoy it for pure driving pleasure. -

A capable car but lets put it this way. hatchback is boyracer. the m2 is always going to be the winner for overall happiness and most people who no nothing about cars will think the rs3 or the a45s looks pretty ordinary. why spend the money on something that doesn't provide the attention

The interior of the Mercedes looks like a kid went into Halfords and purchased every tacky add on in as many different materials they could find
The Audi has the engine, and the simplistic class the Merc clearly lacks, it-s a try hard, but a fail

Omg this Guy is sending me to sleep! And the blah blah blah part about the buttons and simplifying the modes at the start is just so painful to listen to.

The most amazing hatch I've seen in the last 12 years (since my 2008 Mazspeed 3! however, 400+ hp is not useable in the states unless on a track. but who the hell would do that?

To me bmw had always been about sports performance while mercedes are more for luxury performance and now the a45 just made this combination lethal, i am buying one!

In an open diff power follows the law of least resistance, so if you lose grip on the front all of the torque will go there. I dont think thats what you meant: P

I completely disagree with the -make it dumb- sentiment. There are too many cars that do it all for the driver, and this is a breath of fresh air.
