BMW M2 vs Ford Focus RS: Which is king on track?

So what I got out of it is though the M2 is around $10k+ more expensive, it will still be a faster and funner car to drive on a small track, canon road, and will be a more comfortable ride as a daily. Those facts in themselves are worth the extra cost.

Don't think the M2 will every experience the issues with its engine that the RS mk3 continues to generate since it's launch I 1st Qtr 2016 and continue, as far as Ford lead us to believe through 2017. Many owners have had engines replaced inside 15000 miles. So owners have had block, Cylinder Head or Head gaskets replaced.
Blue Oval have still not come clean to owners, as to what the real causes are and to date no RECALL enacted.
Very inconsistent CS by Ford to owners globally.

M2 is much better, even the m140i and the m240i, because both have six cylinders. The engine in the 3 l turbo has a torque of more than 500 NM Torque at 1500 tours. I got the m140i, but a focus had noc chance egainst my BMW m140i. Sorry for my bad English and many gretings from Germany. Have a nice day!

M2 does not have the M4's engine at all. Different bore, stroke and 1 turbo. Focus RS is about as AWD or RWD as a shopping trolley- just look at the transfer rod going to the rear wheels, its as thick as finger.

The difference is price is justified, the BMW has an awsome design and great luxury material inside, the ford design is below ok and made of cheap material. It all depends what are you willing to or can pay for

Its really an M3 not an M2 hehehe and I I'm impressed, I love driving my BMW, as for ford Iv owned 3 and they are costly gas guzzlers and needy when it comes to mechanical attention

As jeremy clarkson once said even tho the ford is cheaper faster and better but most people will chose BMW because BMW has BMW logo on it and the ford doesnt have the BMW logo.

A lot of BMW owners with some hurt feeling in here. This is auto vs manual too. Imagine if it was a manual Vs manual then the RS would have won, not just been1/10 off.

The difference isn't the lap times, it's how deep your pockets are. Awd was an afterthought in the focus and no matter how cool the paint colour is, it's a Focus.

If the M2 has under 1500 kg with DCT I will eat it piece by piece, mine has 1586 kg. No rear seats and Recaro Pole Position seats droped the weight to 1550.
