While I'm not a Honda fan per se, I like the aggressive, bold, controversial, almost transformer like styling of the hatchback. It is definitely in your face, and I can see that you can probably do a lot to modify things to the body to your tastes. I can imagine Honda enthusiasts chomping at the bit for various JDM addons and accessories to make their cars faster or showier. It's going to be fun seeing the next SI and type R and smile at the antics of all of the fanboys as they mod their cars to the Nth degree.

I dont get how Honda calls this a compact car
eg
The Civic length is 4631 mm, a Ford Focus is just 4360 mm
width including mirrors is 2067 mm in Civic and 2044 mm in Focus
Thats a huge difference, one cannot say the Civic is a great car because anybody can make a large car more spacious and wider body to make it handle good, the Golf, Focus etc are still a class apart,
Also the car looks UGLY!

I don't think anyone gives a stuff about how many grams of CO2 are emitted per km driven in a car they are looking at purchasing. I leave the manufacturers to keep in line with the statutory regulations but other than that I couldn't give a stuff. I'm not saying I don't care about the environment, but there are way more important things I'm looking for when buying a car.

It's hideous, it's ugly, it's shit. hahaha, keep your opinions to yourselves, and let the sales of the car speak for themselves. It might not be for you, it might not look good to you, but the market is more than just you buddy, and there is always a market for it otherwise they wouldn't have produced it.

Everyone is complaining about the back end when in reality is the BEST part of the car it's the front that has me wondering if I should get it or not. What I don't get it is, if you compare this to ford focuses and volkswagen cars, I think it looks better. God VWs I think look like insects

I don't like the look of the rear however am considering a 1. 5 as a daily. Shame it's turbo instead of a real VTEC; hopefully the more realistic emissions testing will reduce the turbo thing amongst most car makers; loved the EK9-R and DC2-R, wish I bought an FD2-R.

Its not all about the looks its about the engine, comfort, liability and safety, the rear it's not the best looking but the front is beautiful. My 1. 5 Civic with 182hp it's so fun to drive. All those criticisms are pure jealous.

Lots of hate. You people really need to get a life. The new Civic Hatchback may not be for you. But I can guarantee you it will sell because it's a GREAT vehicle! I love my brand new Civic Hatch in Sonic Gray Pearl!
