BMW 330i review: BMW M340i xDrive review: Get 6 issues of Auto Express magazine for -1: (UK) or here (overseas) BMW has improved the 3 Series in every area. It-s more comfortable, practical, refined and technologically advanced than it has ever been. Of course, you will pay more for it, too, but the price increase is reasonable. The real key here is how well all these new systems - both mechanical and electronic - have been integrated to make it so easy to live with. And perhaps most importantly of all for a BMW, the 3 Series is still brilliant to drive

Has any of these people making comments ever owned a BMW? I-ve owned six over many years. Don-t comment if you don-t know what you-e talking about, idiots. This new 3 series will be a fabulous car, I have no doubt. I once bought a 335i Coupe. I ditched the runflats and put on Continental Contacts. The difference was amazing. Every car should have a full size spare tyre. How manufacturers got away with runflats instead of a spare is beyond me. We were duped. A runflat costs a bomb to replace. Probably around $400. A puncture costs bugger all. Bring back the spare tyre.

Great review but I am wondering which car you were actually driving? The 320d or the 330i? Great to hear about the improvements in the steering and suspension. I had a 2014 328i Sport and even with adaptive suspension, the suspension could be caught out in some situations, while the wind noise at speed was really quite awful. Looks like BMW has addressed all the things I didn't like about my 328i.

I-m currently driving a two litre petrol and it is fast enough for day to day driving, I-m no hooligan with it but it can be husseled and show up some bigger more powerful cars, torque seems to be available wherever when ever in any gear, it-s ok on fuel(42-44, the new one looks to be following on with an even better performance across the board, what-s not to like?

I hate how so many reviewers claim that the 3-series has always been the benchmark. It hasn-t really been- the benchmark- since E46 days. or perhaps E90 days. Since then many competitors have eclipsed this car for steering feel/handling such as the Alfa Guilia and even cars like Cadillac ATS/ATS-V are better dynamically

It's no longer just competing against the traditional rivals like the C Class, A4, IS, ATS, Giulia, etc. But also now against SUVs. Happy that BMW and others still care about making sports sedans when buyers want SUVs.
