Audi e-tron 2019 SUV review - has Audi built a Tesla killer?

The e-tron is Audi-s first all-electric production car. Arriving in the UK a full two years after Tesla-s Model X and several months behind Jaguar-s game-changing I-Pace, it will soon spawn a range of full EVs - including a production version of the e-tron GT concept. Our first drive takes place in the Middle East, seemingly an odd choice of location given the region-s plentiful oil reserves and rock-bottom fuel prices. In fact it-s rather appropriate, with places such as Abu Dhabi investing heavily in solar energy. Soon, electricity will be as cheap as petrol here

Tesla killer? Please stop that nonsense. First, the EV market is going to be plenty big enough for all the players. Secondly, we have yet to see how well Audi and the others who are now coming out with decent prototypes are going to fare when it comes to battery management - something Tesla has mastered. A world-wide Infrastructure also has to be built to support these new models. Tesla has a big jump on that as well.

Am I the only one who likes heavy cars? It's a reason I've always preferred German cars over the rest when it comes to driving on freeways etc. It just feels much more secure at high velocity and you know that if you were in a crash or something, your car would hold up well. In electric cars, the center of gravity is extremely low too, so you aren't even sacrificing that much handling if any.

Tesla Killer Ha! Not even close. Tesla=best batteries by far (see Tesla uses less cobalt in it's best of class batteries, best motors (see model 3's unique permanent magnet design that nobody else has come even close to) by far and best charging network in the world by far! No brainer and every other company is grasping for straws, late to the game and running scarred!

gadget car. not a tesla killer, after 8 sec in full power, this car reduce drasticaly his power,
in germany we can find on the same charging point 2 fast ccs charging point, 4 50kw ccs charging point
and 20 Tesla charging point. So. NO COMMENT. a lot of tesla and Zoe in germany. not much german cars.

First of all, 27 degrees is not scorching heat by any stretch of the imagination and if such a low temp is enough to effect battery performance then how will it perform in actual heat.
Secondly, congratulations on bringing back old-school dry, some would even say dull, car reviews.

Definitely not a Tesla killer. Not a fan boy but will be honest, Tesla is still the best in the EV game. Porsche might change that with the Taycan but this Audi does nothing better nor new other than making mirrors very expensive

I heard bolt is Tesla model 3 killer one year ago, but the reality is that model 3 sold 10 times more than bolt. I hope someone can bring some competitive product, which can push Tesla to release CCS adapter for model 3.

700kg heavier than an Ipace. Not as efficient as the Ipace and Tesla Model X, according to recent reviews online. If you want a fun electric car which handles much better and doesn' look like any other SUV, buy the Jag.

Why does everyone hamper on the range so much? You charge it daily like a phone. The range for a gas car is important because you go to the station less. In what day are you going to drive 400KM? My two cents.
