I was a certified foreign car mechanic in the late 1970's. I then worked in a factory for 37 years but learned fuel injection and other things as needed for my cars. I really enjoy your videos as it shows me what is involved in cars that I never worked on. It has also taught me the cars I never want to own and how to work on the ones I would. I like Mrs. O too!

Wish I could see this video earlier. My 2015 Odyssey just had a power sliding door failure on Christmas Eve: it only closed to the halfway, then beeps and re-opened. No way to close it either in power mode or in manual mode, always stuck at halfway. Towed to the nearest honda dealer and was charged 14xx to replace the motor, roller and cable. :(

Fantastic! I am looking at buying a 2005 Odyssey, and the left door motor does not work, I assume. The door slides ok but, when you pull the handle or push the button on the dash, it does not move. Now I have to find out what that motor cost. Thank you very much!

I like that you show all the trim removal. I hate when guys say I just removed this rear panel, then.
I am buying a 2008 odyssey and the drivers slider wont open with the switch but will if you pull the door handle. It will close with the switch. Rollers?

About to attempt this repair on my '11 Odyssey where the cable snapped. Got my OEM Hondoo parts on order, looks like it should be manageable in an evening for a DIY-er such as myself. Thanks for the great video!

Thanks Eric.
Got one to do one next weekend. But have to diagnose a power issue with it first. Could be the module and not a motor. Have to do a drop test at the motor. You're awesome man
