Great video I've a dodge nitro 2008 crd 4xwheel drive with air bag light on off and diagnostic reading is B1B06 driver Air bag squib 2 circuit open. Goes off and comes on when i go round corners sometimes it remains off for a while during a journey then it come back on i thought may be was a trapped wire or dodgy connector under seat but I have checked them all seem intact.
Is it possibly the clock spring that's goosed
Thanks Tony from over the pond in Scotland

I'm glad you mentioned the factory flow chart issue. More often than not, they are dead wrong, and you will indeed spend countless hours chasing a ghost. I learned that the hard way in the '90s, and they are just as useless now. I don't know who writes them, but they are just way off 90% of the time. Test it yourself using common sense and electrical theory, and you'll get it right the first time, in much less time. Thx Eric!

I know how you feel. I have psoriatic spondyloarthritis in my back and knees (may have told you previously) so I know how you feel. Some days I struggle to get anything done at all, so I admire your ability to keep on keeping on, Eric.
Thanks for the detailed video, mate. I was wondering if the clock spring affected the stereo controls on the steering wheel at all, or just the airbag?

Hey I have a question, When Replacing Driver and Passenger AirBag that deployed, Will replacing Both airbags automatically turn off the airbag lights? Or will it need programming or scanner to turn it off? I'm Having Code 0006 Driver Squib Circuit #1 Open. 2000 Dodge Intrepid.

the video Was very usefull for me. i own a 2010 dodge journey and the airbag s Red light is turning on and off when i turn the wheel from right to left. the horn and the other commands work properly. I Believe That the problem resides on the clockspring.

7: 14 Tip, if you don't want to end op with 'summerteeth', you better put the middle steeringwheel bolt back in and fasten it with 2 or 3 turns and than go godzilla on your steeringwheel to poll it off. Seen it happen, from broken teeth to bloody noses.

That is a great video, and very informative; I might have to change the clock spring on my wife's 14 Dart one of these days, as it is approaching 190K. This video is one I would definitely go back to before doing that job. Thank you for posting this.

What if you have the squib 1 open circuit and it is not the clock spring? How can you diagnose the problem then? I noticed while driving my 09 sebring the car dings at me when I change gear from drive to reverse or vice versa.
