I'm disappointed in this video Eric O. Not once did I see the use of Brake Cleaner. Now I have to wonder if the hatch button was really fixed. Love the quick tip. Thanks again for sharing your vast wealth of knowledge with the general public, especially the DIY guys.

Hmm, I'm actually considering a 2011-12 Pilot as a replacement for the antique Jeep. Any other gotchas that are common failures? I know about the issues with the AFM if the thing wasn't well taken care of. I don't see many of them so figured I ask here.

Hey, I have a 2003 with the same problem, I can manually unlock it after removing the entire plastic cover but there doesn't appear to be a manual latch to open it. How can I open the latch without cutting the latch striker with some bolt cutters?

Any video on replacing the pad? Also, if I am getting the locking sound when I push the pad and the door remains stuck is that the same problem? I have manually opened the hatch, but if I close it, it gets stuck again. Appreciate any help.

That tip was great. In this video I got the tip, a reach around, and junk In the trunk. The only thing missing is a happy ending
I really like this video. The first one I did took me an hour to figure that cover out.

I have same issue on a 2007 CR-V but pad and actuator both work. What other logic is preventing it from opening. I read somewhere that if the other door sensor is at fault, it may prevent tailgate from opening. ?

Will this work on a 2006 Honda Pilot EX-L model? What part would I need to order. Have similar issues and has open before and now being stubborn and not want to open and just bought on the 9th.

Hi, at 1: 34 there is a wire on the left that your light rests against. Could you let know the part number for the wire going into the lock? It looks all taped up. Thanks.
