Owner of a 2006 Honda CR-V LX, and my brakes are at about half-life or a bit under and they work fine for now. However, when the time comes, can anyone tell me if it would be a good idea to replace my brakes with some Brembos, or if that's not a good idea? Because from what I have heard they have really good stopping power, but I would also like to note that I am not well aware of the other kinds of brake brands, and what would work best with this kind of vehicle?

In my experience, that Permatex ceramic extereme brake parts lube is NOT to be applied to rubber and seals. If your brakes last a long time and it will be years before you are in there again that stuff turns to TAR and will sieze the S#% out of the things you are trying not to make seize. other than that its a great product for metal to metal contact. just not the RUBBER

Someone else out there has a smart grandma who showed him that valve stem plug trick! I had customers who said similar stuff about their punctured tires. Question: What was in the tire? Answer: A roofing nail, I think. Reply: Yeah, I figured. My damn neighbor is a contractor and he's remodeling. I bet that's where I picked it up. That dialect was hilarious, by the way.

Well obviously the solution to, can you name that screw contest? That we like to participate in is to use nano markers in the metal like they do in gunpowder and then tracing it back would be possible for the guys that need to know who gave them a slow leak. You might be able to get your sister in law for a new tire, or at the lease uninvited to Thanksgiving.

That was so spot on with the super strong New York accent, talking about how they got something in their tire and they know where it came from. That was hilarious, if you start charging people 50 Cents to use the air hose, you would not have to work anymore lol

Hey Eric, why the driver's side caliper is color bronze and the bracket not, plus the other side is not. Looks like you got a different brand reman that doesn't match to the rest. Or it is lighting issue that the camera pick up different color?

Great vid -- thanks. So we have a 2011 CRV AWD EX. I noticed what looks like some sort of hollow round-form gasket bulging out from the DS front rotor -- it's in a groove where the hub is cast onto the disk.
Any idea what this is?

Regarding not turning rotors: Do you have a preferred brand? I have had terrible luck with many rotor warping in very short time. I now only buy the premium rotors, with my preference being Raybestos Advanced Technology Rotors.

I always like the customers who come in and ask whats in the tire. they want to see it. What does it matter? Its a puncture thats making it go low sheesh. I like to say it was a grenade pin or a human finger. but thats just me

TSB? no full stroke? GOOD INFO! I actually slammed the crap out of my 2004 crv 2 years ago at my mechanics request lol. But nothing happened to my Master. (I guess) Since then I have been doing my own work though.
