Back story:
This vehicle was at the local dealer to address a customer complaint of no power steering, ESC and service trailer brake light coming on. They made the call and told the customer that he needed a new rack and pinion, a trailer brake control module and a new transmission control module! That is a 4000 repair! The customer didn't think this was right (even though he is not a mechanic) Then they charged him over 900 for diagnosis and restocking fees because he wanted a second opinion. Good news is I fixed it for wayyyyyyyy less and only 20 in parts I hope with some evidence he is able to get some of his money back.

Isnt the beeping just because the key is still in it? We usually leave keys in ign or push start in car when we pull a car in and they usually always beep at you like that just to remind you the key is in it, i am just watching while waiting for boss to get here and unlock the shop prolly wont be able to watch full video yet lol

Sounds like they just through the parts cannon at it after not being able to figure it out. This wouldn t happen at my dealership. Not all dealers are bad. I work at a great one and never recommend a part unless I m 100% certain and have down the proper diagnostics.

47k miles on it? Probably those modules are part of the bumper-to-bumper warranty which would place them out of warranty at about 36k. That is my recollection but then again I haven't been back to a dealer since my last warranty claim.

Very common, if you have more than one issue pop up at the same time, check grounds, well done again! Also just replaced my starter in a 2011 Ram, it was the strap wire(power)that corroded, starter itself was fine.

I'm not even four minutes in. I think at a minute in I was ready to tell the dealer where to go. A person has a better chance of winning the lottery than smoking all those modules at the same time.

Just started watching the video, seven minutes in I wanna venture a guess With voltage drop in a vehicle in New York, I bet there s some corrosion somewhere.

Question: does the ambient temperature or frequent use of salt on the roads make Flashlight Gravity stronger in NY State versus, say, Florida?

shucks that would have been a huge profit for the dealership! Always get a 2nd opinion from a well known shop like South Main Auto
