In this SMA Quick tip video we do a quick repair on a 2013 Ford Fusion that came into the shop with over 17 codes including problems in the parking aid system, ABS, traction control and power steering. I hope to show the value in checking TSB's and SSM info AFTER you have gathered preliminary data from the car you are working on

I have a 2010 fusion sel 3. 0 awd. Brakes feel like they lose pressure between drives. After some research it sounds like replacing the ABS pump may be fix but then my check engine light came on and i had codes B1676 and U3003 that both suggest an issue with ABS supplied voltage or something like that which suggest maybe a fuse or something. Do you have any experience with these? Going crazy over here trying to self diagnosing. Maybe I should still change out pump then go from there. Cant afford a shop as these are many times a 1500 to 2000 dollar job. TIA

I have a 2014 Ford Fusion Titanium and I want to thank you for publishing this one! My car was also lit up like a Christmas tree with stiff steering. ForScan guided me to the front left abs sensor and just as I was about to order new I ran across this helpful video. Next morning I decided to unravel my harness, and sure enough same broken purple wire on the harness. I proceeded to fix it with one of those solder butt splices and wrapped up with loom and electical tape. All codes a thing of the past! Thanks so much - very helpful! Mike

As for this repair. My 2013 Fusion Hybrid has been doing this for a few months. I replaced the left front WSS this morning due to a C0031 code I guess I should have kept reading all the way down to where it said Circuit short to battery or open. After watching this post I found the exact same issue. I also found that the pin hole in the wire is located right behind the white plastic restraint clip. I suppose the tool that installs the clip poked the hole in the harness.

OMG I just had this issue on my 2018! Took it to the dealer, as soon as i started describing it, he said yup i know exactly what it is. Left front ABS wire. He said he replaces at least three of these a week. they just need to do a recall if its happening to all of them. Luckily mine is still under warrantee.

I just found a tick on my ehhhhh, ahhhhhhhh, errrrrrrr, my twins! The berries, but not the twig! My manhood! The ole testaroonies! Boy does it itch like the dickens! No pun intended!
And before you ask what I did about it! I jerked it off! Without giving it the classic reach around!

Have you ever done a video on how to inspect a vehicle? Like when you are buying a used car and take it to your mechanic to have them give it the 'ole 1, 2 Skip to My Lou and make sure its worth buying.

Exactly. erratic steering wheel controls (for radio) on my Honda. TSM told me the fix. intermittent open ground collar on the steering column. ding it up with a center punch. fixed.

I guess the robotic wire terminal crimper named Rob was getting a little careless and pinched the wires too hard in those harnesses. Do a better job next time, Rob!
