Well the right tools in the hands of the right car care provider equals the right repair the first. Without the equipment and knowledge, what fire the tranny cannon at it first? Oh still not fixed! Then what? Tow bills? TCM? Flashes? Heck, full fuel system flush? Sell the vehicle and still losing money.
Time is money! And this man charged the owner for his time and gave them their money's worth! Excellent job Mr. Eric! Oh and I'm not even going to get on the dog conversation. Have a great day.

I have a 2006 Hyundai Tucson It seems to idle rough and when I stop at a red light sometimes it stalls. Also around 40 to 50 mph it gets jerky. No check engine light, but did get a code p0171. I did bring it to a mechanic, but they did not get the code. They cleaned the throttle body and that was it. Here I am again. Can anyone point me in the right direction? Seems to do it more when the engine is warmed up or very hot outside.

Jerry B. said what I say. With over 50 years turning wrenches I have seen a lot. One shop I worked at had a lot of customers that had been to other shops and problems remained. We had up to date diagnostic gear and knew how to use it, including and exhaust gas analyzer. It takes a lot of money to buy great equipment so you have to charge enough to pay for the gear and that's just a start on what it takes to run a shop.

Not sure if you can help with this one but I got the exact same rig. Shes bucking and spitting and sputtering even after new plugs and wires. Even some gas line antifreeze thrown in the gas tank to eliminate any water in fuel. The only thing that shes doing different now is actually shutting off when I come to a complete stop. Any suggestions what wrong with it?

thanks again. I really like that you show the total repair, I have a 2006 tucson and tps had trouble mainly at idle but only after it was warmed up. can not understand why the obd light was not coming on since it was a real drive-ability problem. shame on the designers. thanks again. bob

Well the 2 ears would make sense if they sat the way you thought they would, it makes perfect sense since it has 2 ears. But some engineer was like let's make these with 2 ears so one doesn't really work so when people put them in they will get confused

Haha the dog part was funny but it's true! I have a 130 lbs dog that doesn't bark, never makes noise unless someone is snooping around, but Eric your right about people that buy a dog and leave them on a 5 inch chain and never take care of the animal.

This video actually could be the answer to my little Suzuki her problem, she jerks like hell in second gear at low speed under very low load.
Thanks, your diagnose and explainment are very thorough and clear!

Well, I thank you for teaching me STUFF! Have an 05 Alantra. Might come in handy, if I have to take it to My Guy. At least I will know something to tell him, before he Busts a Gussit trying to find the problem!
