A rotary that still has an emissions system? Dang, that's a rare sight.
My rotary is over here with the belt running the air pump removed because the pulley was misaligned, didn't feel like fixing it since its an 80s car. We don't have emissions regulations on cars over 25 years old here, so I'm in the process of removing as much of the emissions system as I can.

I had to do a SAS on my 03 Cadillac, turned out to the the pump it self but had to do the whole testing from the fuse to the relay to the actual control valves before checking the pump. the pump was full of water! Imagine that.

Had a similar problem with my 98 Z3, the air valve stuck open and exhaust gas backed up into the pump until it rusted solid. Fortunately there is a delete kit available for this. Once installed, no more check engine light.

A true professional always makes the job look easy. Clear thinking again from Eric. You put college professors to shame - Looks pretty chilly outside- 22C here in Spain - Great video.

South Main Auto. The more you play with it the quicker it stops working. My dad told me that when I was a boy but I never knew what he was talking about until now. HAHAHAHAHA

I have a sort of pen, reacts to the magnetic field of solenoids. You hold it near the solenoid and lights up if its working. Maybe a tip. I think it was pretty cheap.

Hi Eric. Hope you're surviving the pandemic! Is this analogous to blowing air on an ember in order to get the fire started? Thanks for helping to alleviate the boredom.

RX7 is a hit. We should build an RX8. It will be heavier, slower, and have an extra suicide door for moms to load baby seats. Sports car people will love it!

Changing the same part 4 times proves that someone failed to correctly diagnose it 4 times. Throwing parts at a problem is just not a good way to troubleshoot.

How is he turning on and off the air pump? He's doing that using his tablet right? Or am I mistaken? I would like to know so I can also check my air pump
