Peugeot were kind enough to invite me back for another launch, this time for the brand new 5008 in Lisbon! The 5008 has taken on a new design build, shedding it-s previous bulky MPV body, and replaced it with a new SUV style chassis, most likely inspired by the 3008, which some of you will remember I was invited to review before! The 5008 will face stiff competition from the likes of the Nissan X-Trail and luxurious Renault Koleos. However, the 5008 has upgraded some pretty interesting features, such as the i-Cockpit cabin design, and a massive 12. 3 inch display. It also boasts seven seats! So, what do i think of the new Peugeot 5008, is it a worthy update?

totally disagree I had one as a hire car last year it was brand new with only 1300mls on the clocks and having a new car myself every 3yr in particular suvs I have to say that it's terrible inside the infotainment system is not very good looking and rubbish to use and as for that steering wheel omg awful interior was drab and the engine was underpowered I could go on oh and I had the 2020 range topping model and it was enough to make my mind up never to own one

The reason im getting one of these instead of the 3008 is because of the boot space for pram on right plus shopping or suitcase on the left. dont care about the extra seats, they will either come out completely or just never be unfolded, 3008 is too small for 2 kids in big bulky car seats plus a big old pram in the boot, this model at least can fit the pram in boot to the right and then still leave room for a few bags of shopping on the left side.

This is fascinating point. The mid+rear seats of the 5008 is IDENTICAL to the Citroen Picasso C4 Grand. The individual 3 sliding seats, the under floor storage, flip trays and nets, the rear seat folding mechanisms, the multiple flaps to provide a smooth floor, the roll out luggage cover design and 2 position storage. Its seems pretty clear that Peugeot and Citroen are sharing parts or at least the design details

Did we all miss the point or just you, you have an extra 20cm for 2 extra seats, your comparing a 7 seater to a 5 seater, so 10000% it's worth an extra 2k if you need 7 seats, ideally I would buy this in a 1 seater version for me but 3008 is 5 seats and this is 7, you really wouldn't buy it and spend 2k more for fun

I have a peugeot 5008 gt line. .its a good suv. interior is good and I love the I cockpit functions. There are many interesting functions. but the problem is that for a such big suv it's doesn't have 4 wheel drive. but it doesn't matter. who need 4 wheel if you are driving on road unless you are in a jungle or mud.

This fascination with the 4X4 thing, I don't get it. Are you really going to buy a 36000 euros shiny car to take it off road? Do you know what the car will look like after a fewof times you do that? It's gonna need a fresh paint for starters. If you are an off road junky buy a wrangler or a land rover.

I drove the Peugeot 3008 and it was my -Goldilock's- car- it was just right! --These Pug's really did feel like driving the future. When you do as many km's a year as I do for work then the warranty and servicing intervals make this a car seriously worth considering, especially with all the kit you get on them.

Second row is not compromised, you put the seat all the way back, not in its intended position, and if you try to seat upright and try as hard as you do in this preview to touch the ceiling with your head in just any other car, you will succeed. Disingenuous Matt, you are better than that.

Could literally take those seats out and have my 4 trousers and 4 shirts nicely folded and the other bit can have me pyjamas lol then fold it all down and have a nice sleep in my sleeping bag ready for work and so much storage can even fit a small cooker for dinner hahaha

I have been driving this car for a long time and I have to say just 2 things.
1. The interior design is lovely.
2. The driving ability of this car is just disgusting. You never know what-s going on in corners and it is just very strange feeling driving this car.
