my mom has a Hyundai i10, she has the base model and it-s not good at all --. today we almost drove off of the motorway because it wasn-t fast enough to overtake someone. She has the 1. 0 engine and it looks from the inside like the Suzuki like the screen. From the outside it looks the same so I think if this review was with the base model, the Suzuki would win from the i10. It also doesn-t have heated seats or Bluetooth. Even doesn-t have a CD player. only thing she DOES have is cruise control that doesn-t work for half of the times. it-s just very slow, but easy to park. Today it was a very hot day in my country and we had to drive 2. 5 hour home. Her car is black so it was very warm, but when we got in I thought -why is it so warm here- and I said yo my mom: can you turn the airco a bit colder? She said it already was on its Max and it was blowing on its Maximum. But there was no air coming out of the fans. When we got home we turned off the car, we got inside and we heard music playing. So we checked and the car was just BANGING the radio! (Also the sound system in the back does nothing, there-s no sound at all in the back doors) so yeah here was my speech -

I can't understand -power for overtaking on the motorway-? the i10 for instance will cruise at 80 all day long at about 50mpg, you do not overtake on a motorway, but you can go faster than other cars if you wish.
However the 1248 motor will overtake easily coming off islands on dual carriageways, often needing care because 90 is no problem either.
Funny thing, very surprised by 1litre i10, 3 cylinder rental in Spain, went up the big hills at 60+ much better than the bigger engine. Still only 50mpg though.

well i used to think that i should have got some other car than celerio, but after reading the comments i have to respect my celerio more and speaking truth the vxi model for me hasn't given me any troubles, actually it does stand on expectations. btw i have installed a media system in it. Also if WV uses mobile than how does it separates on celerio i could have a phone holder just fine. hundai i10 is a good choice but if u have less budget celerio moreover i10 isn't a far more upgrade

The car is okay problem is for me with it this car as new driver is low speed parking, the tire has traction but I get no feedback to adjust with parking when the car is stopped. My mum says I need practice buts hell to park, she should have Gone Japanese like a Honda Fit/Jazz, Suzuki Swift. How ever feedback at high speeds are excellent handling with my little bit of Motorsport skill even though I've never done motorsport racing. I go based of feel not speed.

The thing here is, I am looking for the most fuel economic car that I can find for city driving. It doesn't have to be fancy, it doesn't have to be fast, it doesn't have to have loads of space. All it has to do is get me to work and back as economically as possible. I have my eye right now on the Hyundai I10 unless somebody can suggest something else better? I am open to suggestions.

The i10 is superior in every way compared to the other two. It has more refinement, better comfort, more equipment, better acceleration for a normally aspirated engine (the Turbo in the UP make it much more expensive and much lower economy. Without the turbo the UP is woefully slow. It does have a more attractive shape and interior but the i10 still wins hands down.

I knew right from the start you'd pick the up. When I test drove the up and the i10 the i 10 was a better car to me with a better warranty and hyundai are now very reliable. If you were reviewing the Up and the Skoda citi go you'd still pick the Up wouldn't you. It's what u car chaps do.

Up is the first choice in my mind because of the design, brand and solid built quality.
But after I watched this review, I think i10 and Celerio is better.
Up is the best car that miss something while i10 give you everything and Celerio is cheap, fuel efficiency and spacious.

Finally, stumbled upon a review that I can relate 66% to. We do get i10 and Celerio in India, the massively horrible quality Suzuki(Maruti Suzuki fame) Celerio(very famous with Uber cabbies with CNG. It feels so flimsy that Ford Figo feels like a car that was blessed by God himself.

To be honest, I hate all of these but if it was my money, the celerio would be my choice. Small dinky biscuit tins are for nipping around the city, and the cheaper you can do that, the better. It's got all you need for city driving, and maybe the occasional longer drive.
