The Citroen DS 3 is an attractive hatchback that is both fun to drive and boasts a selection of good engines. Watch our full 4K review with Mat Watson for his in-depth verdict and to see how it stacks up in the face of fierce competition from the likes of the Audi A1 and Mini Hatchback superminis. Great video, liking the depth of these Carwow videos. A fair and honest review of the DS3. I drive a 2013 model and can fully vouch for most of its flaws. Space isn't a huge issue for me but the in-car storage is admittedly poor and forward visibility could be better. Having said that, I have struggled to find a replacement car that mixes fun dynamics with ride quality and comfort as well as the DS3 does. The new grille is even growing on me.

I have this car. The 1. 6 petrol turbo charged. Great fun to drive, grippy and isn't slow either. Makes over taking so easy. It is very comfy and sound quality on the speakers is really good, especially as mine has a built in small Citroen sub woofer in the boot which came with the car. Downsides. It's been in the garage about 9 times in 10 months for electrical repairs. Mechanically, it's good. The 1. 6 turbo petrol is a BMW engine.

Would this be good for a first car? Maybe a older year, 2015 or something? I've been trying to find a good car but everyone points me in the same direction of a Fiesta or a Golf etc. Thing is, I'd want something that's different, and with a good interior & exterior (along with the obvious good costs etc) whilst i do understand everyone is essentially looking for that, i was wondering if you guys have any suggestions. Many thanks

Not sold. My driving instructor had/has one, I have a 57 ibiza fr. I much prefer driving my seat. Short and light gear change, easier to drive smooth when changing gear. I felt my Ibiza is just more comfortable to drive, with better adjustments for the driver. They have the 1. 6 diesel, whereas mine is a 1. 4 petrol with 110 bhp. Idk why, but imo I feel more comfortable and more relaxed driving mine in comparison to the ds3.

Beautiful seats, they look incredibly comfortable. The video quality is amazing and the review was great as well. I do would like it if you guys could go a bit more into the specs of the engine. I wouldn't care driving it but knowing how fast it would go to 60 or what the amount of torque is would be rather nice to know. Those LED headlights (I'm not sure) looked interesting as well. Anyways, great job!

Good review. Good car. I still miss the fun factor of my old ds3. Do we need a practicality, 360 and infotainment video separately though? Just do it all in one. Especially the infotainment one because as you do more reviews you will end up reviewing the same systems from the same manufacturers. If you did a Juke v 2008 v i20 review you have already done their systems on other models.

The cup holder cost 20 Euros. I have german DS3 (the second one) and many things are better as the brithis version i think.
But yes, to go to backseats are not good, but the room is big ( 3 friends sit on back and they was 2m and i 1, 80m. so ). many people dont understand that are two levers one the seat one for basic and the other for the saved position! XDXD

think you got a lot of things wrong my friend.
the car is spacy enough in the back and comfortable.
and the DS id not referring to the goddess car from the 50-60's but means Different Spirit.
think you first need to have the right information before you tell something and don't test a car like you see it, but how it refers to his target public.

Had a go in one these the other day: low slung seating position, brilliant seats, great fun to drive. I was actually quite impressed. I hope the next DS3 is also available as a 3 door because the number of small cars now available as five door only is making everything look like a boring family car ie Polo, Fiesta, C3, 208.

Every car is judged the same no matter what size. Of course a ds3 is small in the back it-s a small car. A Passat estate is large in the back because it-s a large car, it also has larger door pockets because it-s a wider car unlike the ds3! Dull as brexic watching these reviews. Everything said is obvious.
