Kuga is so much better. I have a Qashqai (QQ) and very soon changing to a (used) Kuga. The Qashqai 1. 5 diesel does 70mpg +, mixed driving 50 to 60 mpg and I really like driving it but changing to Kuga for these reasons: - Kuga feels like a proper SUV not just a tall car. QQ and Renault are just tall cars. Kuga has more space everywhere. Kuga has better seats, is wider so less cramped in front -widthwise, much more legroom for rear passengers and much more boot space. Better engine on Kuga. I have concerns about how good/strong the QQ engine is compared to the 2litre dutatorq in Kuga. older QQs diesels seem noisy and rattle like a bag of gravel, it may be economical but thats not everything, engine should be the least of my concerns but isn't on QQ. Better Suspension on Kuga. QQ has good suspension with low body roll, Kuga is noticably better on rough surfaces, about the same roll in corners. Paintwork, QQ paint looks very thin inside doors and on pillars. Chassis, Kuga looks better made underneath. QQ great to park, QQ already has a steering knock. Kuga is the largest SUV size that seems to fit most car park bays fairly easily. Kuga drives like the QQ just feels a little larger so driving experience fairly close. To me Kuga is the ideal 5 seater SUV car. Later Kuga models have reversing cameras but to be honest you don't -need- cameras. Fords/ Kuga are generally well priced and can always get a good deal with Fords. Nissan want to load their cars with tech and charge more for it but remember you are buying a car so the car specifics should take priority and the equipment second. If you just want a tall car with excellent economy and not a Kuga then consider QQ or Renault with the 1. 5 dci (Renault K9K) engine gives 50mpg minimum town/ mixed and on a motorway between 60mph and 70mph, you will get 70 to 75mpg from these on motorway, yes they are that fuel efficient.

Never buy a Nissan Qashqai timing chain issues and after that new engines are needed. Appalling air conditioning new condenser needed every two years. Parking sensors fill with water when it rains and it thinks your parking when you drive Nissans answer was to drill holes in the bumper to stop the water ingress. Watch out for the warning signs oil consumption that-s the start of your Nissan journey enjoy - PLEASE DO NOT BUY THIS CAR. Sorry Nissan but you need to honour the people who bought the faulty cars you produced with Renault building the engines and fitting the piston rings incorrectly. If at least one person reads this and it stops them buying one I am a happy man.

Ps. I don-t think I-d buy any of them, not new anyway. ( I mite consider the MG (New) cos it looks so much nearer to my idea of an SUV: pretty basic, but still with all the necessary stuff. Not over designed and without the extra design flourishes that added 4- to the length of the (new) Quasqai. And it looks much lighter in weight, plus much lighter cos it has - it looks like to has - more glass. And it-s cheaper. (Sori, not really playing the game of voting for one of these three)
Note: However I could add that people mite make a political decision against the MG cos of where it-s built. but that-s a whole different discussion.

Nice vid. I have the Kadjar in Dynamique Nav spec. I thinks its the best balance of spec against pricing to be fair, and that tyre noise goes away with using the 17 inch deeper tyre over the standard 19 inch on the S spec model. Tyre choice will help as well as i have found. The 1. 5 is a great balance of power and economy, and the unit is used in a whole host of platforms. including Mercedes. what does that tell you. Wth the extra length on the rear of Kadjar that gives you better boot space and a non step boot floor that helps loading, I recon its a Great value car in my opinion.

Had a Kadjar for 3 years. 1. 2 petrol turbo. It's the most Uncomfortable, Uneconomical, (30mpg, Unfriendly, piece of crap I've ever driven.
Had a new timing chain at 19K. The dealers chief mechanic said it looked like the chain was fighting it's way out of the case.
I nearly forgot-the panoramic glass roof sweat inducing in the summer and visible breath in the winter. I've had the blind back TWICE.
The good point? It has a BOSE sound system, at full volume you have to get out. it hurts your ears!

I have the 2018 1. 6 163hp qashqai and it's fun to drive both on motorway or in town BUT I'm thinking of tunning it ( stage one 205hp 320 torque) because it lacks some power in first and second gear to my opinion, once you get up to third gear that's when the horses come to life, I guess for first and second gear they used pony's -

Having tried all 3 in 2017 when we bought the first Kuga and now when we bought the second Kuga. The other 2 feel more like cheap plastic interior, The seats of the Nissan and Renault have a cheaper feel. When you hit a bump you feel that the Nissan and Renault are cheaper. Sorry but the Kuga is so much better.

After being in all of these at least once the kadjar is the most comfortable and has to be the best value, not as great to drive as the other but the kuga is just a bit overpriced where I-m from and the qashqai seats are like a bench and it doesn-t feel as nice as the others

The only thing I don-t like about the Kadjar is that it-s the only one of the three available in the UK WITHOUT a heated windscreen. It-s a major oversight on their part. If they and Nissan share mechanicals why not the thermaclear windscreen on the Qashqai?

If your a car / driving enthusiast you would have the ford ( which is the best out of all 3 ), if your just looking for a people mover and have no soul you Would look at the Renault and Nissan But then You would probably go buy a Dacia Duster diesel. --
