This is the Golf R. Join me for my latest POV review where I-ll take you for a test drive in Volkswagen-s all-wheel-drive hot hatch, showing you just what it-s like to drive (even in the wet, while also letting you take a closer look at the cabin. But would you choose it over a Civic Type R? Let me know in the comments below!

got it for 3 months.
when was 1000km went on trak.
was black flagged after 3 laps>at pit they were running to me with extinguisher>brake we getting bire. so I went out for other 5 laps to coold down without using brakes.
before to get in the track, I was getting in love every day more>smooth, fantastic DGS, easy for daily use and fast when you ask for it.
after track (5 km) brakes were burned (disk and pads, dsg was not anymore perfect as before, clutch was not to smooth as before, passenger cockpit was crackling, passenger window started to sound over 60mph.
conclusion: it is perfect car for people have no idea what is a sport car. perfect to go shopping and bring fast children at school.
but do not pretend to be a sport car. because it is rubbish.

The Type R would beat the Golf R on a track by a large margin. The only thing the R does well is straight line acceleration and with a DSG even that gets boring after 3 times. Shittiest driving dynamics you can find in a hot hatch. I'd take any hot hatch over the Golf R. Type R, i30 N, Focus RS, Megane RS, - even a Golf GTI Performance. Anything is more fun than a DSG quarter mile hero. Real driving is done in corners.

Bland looking, common, uninspiring interior. At that price, I'd expect more. At least the type R isn't afraid to be different, even though I wouldn't go for those extreme looks. The type R would have demolished you from a rolling start whether wet or dry. He clearly wasn't trying.

The 310PS version won't exist in the MK7 soon. The next MK7 version will drop to 300PS due to new emissions regulations like the -original- MK7. So this one will be rarer! Probably S3s and Leon Cupras will follow suit. Will find a source but it was official from VW.

What annoys me with this car is that the GTI looks so much better!
It-s a shame VW didn-t work more on the interior of R to make it that bit more desirable.
That being said it-s still probably the best all rounder out there for your money

People thinking of buy a manual golf r be aware! The clutches in these are rubbish! Many are starting to slip at very low miles and mine is no different. 23. 000 miles and has started to slip. Time to spend 1400 pound: ( not good at all.

I find it always a little bit strange, this is now the second or third video of the Golf R with manual. Last time you also tested the Golf R manual vs the Audi S3 automatic. Why not the Golf R automatic?

Mk7. 5 R is getting/has had a power reduction- back to 296bhp to meet new emissions standards. The Mk 8 R is rumoured to be a 400bhp Hybrid system though so this is just a stop gap.

HI Can you tell me the brand of pants you wear in AUDI RS4 2019 and tiguan 2018? I like it very much, I want to know the brand to buy one, and you are very handsome to wear this.

When did you start with pov review? And why didn't you line up with the Honda and tried to push the horn 3 times so it could be a drag race? :)
